On the 13th of April 2024 around 16:00 GMT user Naruhodo62 posted sexually explicit images of Frieren character Methode, saying that she is his favourite and asked the club for their favourite.
Naruhodo62 then proceeded to post such images of Frieren & Fern asking TEdAC members which of the two they would "fuck" if given the chance.
At this point, members of the club were upset by the images but couldn't do anything about it. The President of TEdAC, SRC_theBLANDking was offline and there were no secretaries at the time (it is almost 24 hours later and at this time there are still no secretaries).
Longtime pillar of the club alexw1020 left the club, saying that he would come back when the the president sorted out the mess. Many other members are assumed to have left in disgust.
Naruhodo62 is not new to controversy. A few months ago he went on a rampage on The Golden Age (now deleted) spamming sexually explicit images of anime characters from series like Princess Mononoke, Sorcery Fight, Demon Slayer and more. The president at the time gave him a temporary ban, and Naruhodo62 has behaved ever since, until this incident.
It is not known why Naruhodo62 did this. He has said that he was only "creating discussion" and not spamming like he did at TGA.
Around 17:00 GMT, Naruhodo62 posted again, sexually explicit images of Ichika & Yotsuba Nakano (Quintessential Quintuplets) asking club members if he should start the series. He had also bumped up his previous threads after members had tried to bury them waiting for the president to return. These posts stayed up for almost another hour before being promptly deleted by SRC who finally came back online.
He quickly banned Naruhodo62 and deleted his posts. Many members pleaded to SRC to elect a secretary at least a temporary one but SRC played it off. He then proceeded to set up the grand finale of the AEC tournament.
The AEC tournament is the 2nd edition of a previous TEdAC tournament (OKOB). Basically members compete against each other by pitting anime on their lists against each other and having the club vote on the highest (or lowest) rated anime. Winners can gain officer titles, losers can lose them. The secretaries at the time lost their titles which is why there were no secretaries.
Around 00:00 GMT 14 April 2024SRC, had retired to sleep. skibiditoilet957 posted a naked picture of KonoSuba character Megumin.
Enter FTEDACmidclub. The account went on a rampage, sending hentai pictures, then proceeded to send gore. The account later moved on to send IRL gore, and scat. Many members tried to reason with the account. Failing this, they tried to bury the images with various cat images, memes, and blank posts. FTEDACmidclub would take breaks and then continue his rampage while also using racial slurs.
It is believed that this account simply did this because they had the chance.
It is suspected that this could be a Naruhodo62 alt account. Naruhodo62 has come out denying this.
FTEDACmidclub then tried to his luck in various other clubs including Eternal Bonfire and The Crib & Waku Waku where he was dealt with.
1rayannaik of Waku Waku took initiative and sent warnings to many of MAL active clubs about these attacks. Some clubs acted quickly. Whether or not these are intentional protests or a bad attempt at a joke is unclear.
What has been made clear is the importance of having active members in leadership roles to ensure that clubs stay with MAL guidelines. |
