Meh, the color style of this show really doesn't fit imo. Makes everything look awkward.

On the other hand, we got another game. This was also another episode to showcase Theo's intellect again. Leoleshea is also starting to come across as someone who will use creative tactics to get ahead. At the moment, it just seems to be Theo and Leoleshea carrying this show.

Let the gods' games begin...

The challenge the two face is a game of the gods' game by the giant god Titan. As they advance towards conquest, Fey and Leoleshea must deduce the victory conditions of the game, which is an arrangement of tag and hide-and-seek. However, even the apostles who have not been touched by Titan are now under the control of the gods. From this, Fey discovers the existence of the hidden "third game".

Geez, what a disappointment this first game turned out to be. My already low expectations for this show are now completely shattered.h

From hide-and-seek, tag team, to reversi. I guess they do an okay job with the narrative. But not gonna lie, its still not impressed me at all, especially since mc doing all the narration by himself all alone. Not to mention the game kinda be too fast to be set off? Well perhaps incoming game can be more complex and thrilling so i can have a better take on this anime. Let's see next then...
Hide and seek is the best offline games on this fatamorgana-called-world-thing. Please comment nicely. I am newbie here.

A good episode with not much cut content, other than a few explanations. This episode truly showcases the teamwork between Fay and Leoleshea as they overcome challenges. This game was meant to demonstrate how well they can work together. The real game starts with the next God challenge. As a LN reader I am truly excited to see the next game.

Kinda not what I was hoping for, in the end the game was actually very simple and sadly they did not translate these rulecards. I hope the next games will be more komplex and more entertaining.

the characters looked pale, didn't enjoy the game, it was just the mc figuring out the hidden games as his team sucked, nothing felt exciting.
His dialogues with the goddess are fluid and give me good vibes so I hope next game is better

This anime seems promising after just two episodes. Leshea and Fay's teamwork is impressive. They managed to solve the entire game by themselves, emphasizing the importance of enjoying the game while striving to win.

Fay's ability appears to be overpowered, rendering him immune to the abilities of the gods and making him effectively immortal. While I think there may be games where his ability is not applicable, it would be interesting to see how he overcomes them.

With this win, Fay should have a record of 4 wins and 0 losses. I'm eager to see how Fay and Leshea overcome the games of the God in the future.

The show feels like someone saw Darling in the FranXX and No Game No Life and then just made an anime out of nowhere.

I'm suprised so many people don't like it - I found this episode better than last week.
After the first episode I was quite unsure if I can stand this for 13 weeks, but now after seing the second episode I really enjoy watching the two playing games - and I also like that they strategical aspect plays a big role in here.

Also the mysterious background-story with Theo's "Big Sister" gets me hooked.
Still don't know why MAL consideres it as "Ecchi", but maybe we'll figure it out in the next few weeks.

It's not such a banger as other Spring Season Animes like "Yozakura-san Chi no daisakusen" or "One Room Hiatari Futsuu Tenshi Tsuki" in my opion, but still enjoyable for Monday evenings.

I'll still keep watching because I'm curious about the other games but I haven't seen a reason why this series has the 'ecchi' tag so far since there hasn't been any of those types of scenes.

@lumjulian Honestly, you can see the "plot twist" coming from a million kms away. Theo's "Big Sister" is just Leshea but she won the God's game 3000 years ago and her wish was to become a God. I bet it's something really contrived like that. The lack of stakes and reason for even playing is such a turn off so far too. I'll give it one more episode but I doubt something is going to change.

@felixsifuri This is the core issue. The only way the author can pretend to be clever is by reading ahead in the script. Like when they talked about flipping I guessed it'd be reversi cause it's like the only boardgame that ever shows up in anime, but it doesn't actually make sense as a leap of logic. And what were they even going off for the end condition? Why would it end after the buildings were destroyed plus the time for them to make one more move? A good smart character should make you understand how you could have connected the dots.

Ah, thanks for the info, good to know. Not quite sure, if the show really would benefit that much if there were ecchi elements in it.

Thought "Big Sister" and Leshea were the same person too, but Lesha denied in this episode. And she doesn't seem to have any memories at Theo or recognize him. I really hope that they don't go for a route, where Leshea and "Big Sister" would be turn out the same person, or Leshea being a re-incarnation / clone / whatever of "Big Sister", because this would really be too predictable. It seems that they would make it so obvious, so that we'll be tricked into thinking Leshea and "Big Sister" were the same person, only to come around with a special-plot-twist, that they're not - that's what I hope, at least.😅

Still, I wouldn't call this show terribly bad. I agree with the majority here, saying that this show is nothing new under the sun and you've seen many things before, but it's still watchable. If I would have to rate it after 2 episodes, I would give it a 5 / 10, maybe a 6/10.
I get flashbacks of "Tales Of The Wedding Rings", which I also didn't liked at the beginning, but got me more intrigued after 6 - 7 episodes.
So maybe when we get to know the characters a little more, we'll probably get an interesting backstory or something like that, to keep us hooked.

The problem is they just say what is the solution not how they find it or guessed it. Just ‘oh I knew how we gonna win’ it’s started with one game without to much explanation so the anime at least need to give me more context on how on earth the Mc understand that it’s a board game at the same time. And I say them changing colors without touch and being next to each other is not the best one.

Second episode was okayish. I actually liked the game’s twist and enjoyed seeing Fay outsmart the Titan. If anything, I think this set the tone for the two leads’ relationship going forward. Fay’s ingenuity and Leoleshea wisdom as a goddess make a perfect team.

I think the game was explained a lot better than Liar Liar’s games were, which of course is the direct comparison for this series. It remains to be seen how invested I’ll be able to get into the show. I had high expectations because I love Kimisen, the author’s other work. But this hasn’t exactly moved me so far. Especially if there’s no ecchi or fanservice 😭

Guess it all hinges on how things go in the next games and with his seeedh for his “sister” who totally isn’t Leoleshea lol.

lol trashcanned.
Golem titan looks cool with special shading, but all humans colors oddly pale.
Still unsure if watchable, most cast haven't arrived yet. feels like good source but bland directing.

This is not the worst I guess but that ending was pretty so dumb, Fay says that game is over but then proceeds to conveniently flip those 7 humans to his side so he somehow wins. But I guess it's okay cause a little bit of the building was still standing?

The colors were atrocious tho, the pink hue over everything was a sore sight.

The God's game of hide-and-seek, all rests on Fay to succeed and survive against the God Titan, failing which the candidates fall under the god's will. For now, both Fay and Leoleshea try to make do with their survival, saving those whom they can save in its high-stakes game setting. With Asta, only 3 humans remain against Titan, and the only way is to face it head on, being deliberate about their approach.

Fay has a trump card: his Arise power "May Your God" is able to prevent himself from the gods' attacks, and he discerns the entire game like a reversi board to be able to claim victory by their first game. Still though, Fay's motivation to play games like how his "sister" who encouraged him to do so (who looks like Leshea), that practically pushed him to the position that he is today.

Wow, Kei Sazane truly knows how to win my heart...by creating shitty works with brainless thoughts whatsoever. Finna be on this even trashier Liar, Liar ride all the way through.

I see a lot of complaints but idk I’m digging this show I like hearing Akari Kitou’s voice it’s very soothing for me to hear I love it

The game was a little confusing with the rules but it was stated that there are rules that wasn’t gonna be explained so them figuring out what the hidden rules were made sense just wish the side characters had more to do with the game than just being NPCs💀

The color palette for the hide and seek game was unique to say nonetheless everything was really bright but I liked it tbh

The ending song is really nice and catchy that shit isn’t gonna get skipped at all

“JUST TURN OFF YOUR BRAIN” the anime.

•The color scheme is awful.
• Can’t say much about the character design but their uniforms aren’t great either.
•The plot. ‘I just knew/memorized everything’

Quite boring, you’d fall asleep before reaching the 9 minute mark.

So there ARE multiple Gods... and apparently they don't all know each other, meaning the God's world might actually be as large as the planet the Humans are on and the Gods can probably pro-create like Humans do.

This also supports my theory that this whole God's Game is pretty much God's "Reality TV Show" for entrainment that they watch in their Homes on TVs.

.

LOL @ the "Hide and God seek"... that "hidden rule" is pretty much the "Team Up" style that some ppls actually play in Real Life. Where once the Seeker finds someone, that person also becomes the Seeker.

This game style has also been used in some video games featuring "Prop hunt" style hide and seek.

And the MC has a "cheat" with his power during this Hide and Seek where the Titan has to "damage" enemies to change their faction. But the MC's power is... he's immortal and can't take damage, LOL.

Which mean... no matter what, MC can't be turned.

But he could still have lost if he was alone,

.

BTW, I wonder what kind of Goddess Leola used to be, since it looks like each God has their own "power". Like the one that summons monsters we saw in episode 1's billboard. And in this one the Titan (that's a Golem). So far Leola showed she has super strength (punch and kick) and can make things float and move.

But I also wonder... is this the actual appearance of the Titan back in God's land? or is the guy just turned into a Golem for the game... lol (since I have a feeling that the Gods are all Human appearanced like Leola)

.
