Fuck me...the spiral of depression just lowers and lowers until it's nothing but an abyss huh. I saw it coming but the artwork and atmosphere left me gut wrenched, like actually straight up sick to my stomach. Did she stuff her panties in her mouth too?

I feel so bad for Aiko man, I can't even look at her without getting reminded of the bullshit she went through up until her suicide. Even almost felt bad for this fuckhead Punpun when he removed the noose and carried her, his only obsession in life is just gone.

"I really wanted to be killed by you".
man.

I kinda expected Aiko's death with those close-up panels of her almost life-less eyes right after her mother died. Even there are some rare bursts of emotions, be it happiness or anger or sadness, Asano always pulls me back to the reality with more close-ups of Aiko's gradually fading eyes.

Like some other readers in this thread, I was expecting her to die from her wounds. But now when I think about it again, making her suicide is definitely more impactful and reflecting how her mental health must have been degraded, despite how she was seemingly so normal when she first met with Punpun again. Just like how real people who suffer from depression can seem so normal and happy but can end their lives all of a sudden.

Definitely a sad ending for such a young life.

Punpun played a big role in her suicide, treating her as bad as he did, especially after giving her the false sense of care he displayed after killing her mother (i know she did the final blow but still). Punpun ruined her chances of feeling any better, i think aiko had a chance of being helped
