| @Sandeep_ash actually yes, they do care. even a PM can be scanned for pirate site information and such. MAL was purchased in its entirety back in January 2019 by Media Do. therefore, they gotta follow ALL the legal mumbojumbo DMCA international treaties and whatnot. so, it is no longer a user/volunteer run social media platform but a possession of a corporation. the moderators/employees etc. get a paycheck and any 'volunteers' they recruit are just unpaid grunts doing what MAL volunteers used to do but... heck... you want to test the waters and get your account banned and ISP traced and banned so you have to use a VPN to get onto the site ever again... oh... they'll delete all your data as well if you dick it up hard enough... so... yeah... go ahead... start publishing nyaa and torrent and magnet data and flagrantly flouting the rules. but get yourself on some other site like Anime DataBase and transfer your list(s) first. |

| @gio_lingad click on the hypertext link imbedded in somebody's name. that'll bring up their profile. look for the 'envelope' icon on their profile that says "Send a message" when you hover your cursor over it. if the user has enabled 'rando folks can message me' in Settings instead of 'friends only' you'll be able to send them a 'private message' that won't be visible to the general public. just remember, all and i do mean ALL the content on MAL is visible to the company's employees. so don't violate the rules even in 'private messages'. |
