| There were rumors of it being 2 cours to begin with. https://twitter.com/htgoiw/status/1494598725100269568 When you look at the credits, you'll see just how much of the show is outsourced with only one man carrying the production. With full outsourcing studios and a bunch of Korean animators listed under the "key animation" section on certain episodes, it isn't really surprising to make it a split. |

| Lets go! This show is wonderful; Gorgeous art and aesthetics. Fascinating plot, world, monsters, and characters. The characters in particular are relatable and pretty grounded. Some are otherworldly and thats interesting too! All that said my favorite part of this show has to be the beautiful soundtrack by the maestro Kenji Kawai. A very prominent composer, and understandably so! TLDR: Hell yeah this show deserves a second cour. |

@LordKirkis The main issue I had with it was just that the animation itself was often pretty bad in the "we're starved for budget" kind of way.
Otherwise though I'm super happy this got a second cour. I liked the feel of the show a lot.

| @CalorieEnchilada Its certainly unfortunate about the animation looking starved. Thats how i would describe it as well. That said I also agree the feel of the show is superb. I think they nailed the atmosphere really well.. which is not an easy thing to make do, to make so engaging that is. |
| Watched the first cour when it was already clear that there would be a second one, and enjoyed the world and the visuals so so much! I'd agree that the animation looks so much weaker (less-existent?) in the second cour with so many stills, and even the stills looking unprecise(?) from time to time It's a shame such an interesting project is visibly underfunded Will definitely stick around for the story though. Even worldbuilding aside, this has such strong 'found family' vibes that I just can't imagine dropping it |
