@bushman66 I'm at ep10 of this donghua. I'm glad I decided to watch it after reading your suggestion. It has a good story plot and mc is mature and makes wise judgement; unlike other pretentious donghuas.
Have more suggestions? Also, https://myanimelist.net/anime/33396/Hua_Jianghu__Bu_Liang_Ren donghua; have you watched it? I am thinking of watching it in correct order. It has so many other-version/alternatives.

Glad to suggest something, that you liked as well.
It's good to watch a Donghua which finishes at 12 episodes, even though there will be more.
This Season rounded out pretty well.
As to the Hua Jianghu versions, the subs are awful, read the posts i made and the other comments.
Personally i gave up after season 2 for this very reason, it stopped making sense.
If better subs ever appeared ( they won't ) i may jump back in.
This is the only version of these i could recommend, wish there were more of this one.
