The official website of the Hyakushou Kizoku (Noble Farmer) short television anime announced a second season on Monday.

Animation studio Pie in the sky produced the short 12-episode television anime in Summer 2023.

The anime adapts Hiromu Arakawa's slice of life manga, which began serialization in Shinshokan's Un Poco magazine in December 2006 before transferring to Wings in July 2009. Shinshokan shipped the seventh volume in October 2021 and will release the eighth volume on December 20. Hyakushou Kizoku has a cumulative 4.1 million copies of its compiled volumes in circulation.

Synopsis
Renowned manga artist Hiromu Arakawa has an unusual backstory: she used to work on a farm in Hokkaido, the food warehouse of Japan, for seven years! To her editor, Ishii, harvesting produce and milking cows are foreign concepts; but as the daughter of two multigenerational farmers, Arakawa is there to explain the challenging yet noble job of being a farmer. I can't wait to see more of Arakawa's farming adventures in Hyakushou Kizoku season 2! Season 1 was heartwarming and hilarious, and I'm excited to see what new challenges and shenanigans await.
