Me or Megumi?

So, as Amakasu was talking to Yuki about joining his squad (i believe) he said: "Megumi Squad" (Megumi is also in the anime title) but the subtitles said "Me Squad", also as seen by the firetruck in the ending, there's the hiragana め (me), is there some meaning as why he said megumi instead of me?

I'm not entirely sure, but that character is 'me' ( pronounced as may). So it might just be the shortform for megumi.

definitely curious. I noticed that yesterday didn't pronounce it as M or Mey, but didn't hear Megumi. as far as I've understood, the rescue squad that Daigo is on is the squad め , which is squad M. I like the answer that Me is likely short for Megumi but not sure of the meaning

probably need to ask a Japanese person to explain

It's め組 read as me-gumi, which means 'Me Squad'
Equivalent to A-Squad or B-Squad but the squad name uses hiragana

There's no y in め. May sound like the month of May, め would be closer woth Meh.
