i think its kinda a waste not using it for all 12 episodes, the opening looks damn good so only having it for a couple episodes is kinda disappointing unless they bring it back for part 2 which is extremely unlikely

More time for the actual show they had to fit it in there some how it happens more often than you’d think with shows and I totally agree with you that intro was fire sad I didn’t get to see it everytime but cool I got more story

I agree but there was virtually no reason to do it for this arc. There’s only so many ways you can show the school. The first season was very diverse in what locations it was set in, second half of this cour was not

Cuz that's when the new arc started. It wouldn't make sense to use an opening specifically made for the school arc before the story had reached that point.

Ive never actually heard of someone say that they should've used the OP more in a fucking anime.

Especially when the anime in question never used a traditional OP until this season.

You’d skip it anyway so what’s the point? I’m glad we got more of the actual show while still getting the opening (which was pretty good I have to admit)

They could’ve done it like Re:Zero in the newest seasons where OP/ED theme is playing in the background while the visual shows up very rarely but I don’t mind either way.

while the op is very good very well made and has a ton of metaphors and motifs throughout the entire thing, i also i preferred when they didn’t use one, but i also understand that the setting has already been established so it would make sense to save budget for elsewhere,, but i do reeeeally hope they go back to no op after this school arc ends

Yes. I hate that they did an opening in this season. Yet another area where they put minimal effort to make it as great or better than the previous seasons.

I thought it was because of the arc, after ep 4 he officially got to the magic school, and the opening mostly focused on the school setting
