| Do we seriously have no season 2 announced? Based on the fact that a compilation movie was their big announcement earlier this year, did the success of the anime just catch them off guard? I hope a season 2 isn’t too far off |

| Maybe it really did catch them off guard. A compilation movie after such a good reception screams "Ok, we didn't expect this to blow up like this, so let's compile this to keep the IP out there while the staff finishes working on their current projects". So yeah, I don't think we are getting anything besides maybe a few more new songs at least until the director finishes cooking Frieren. |

Houbunsha are there because it's published in their own magazine. And it was revealed that the only member of the staff of Cloverworks that knew the Manga beforehand was the Character designer. | I’m pretty sure BTR was a passion project and I think they’ve kind of lost the passion to make another season now. Would love if there were another season though, need more Bocchi in my life. |

| I’m sure we’ll get a second season. The manga is ongoing, the anime did really well in Japan, and Kessoku Band came out with new music this year. I’d be surprised if all we got was the recap movie |

| Recap movies are a common thing when you plan on making a sequel movie (made in abyss, madoka magica, kabaneri of the iron fortress), so I think a movie sequel is more likely. |
