| God they really did a good job transitioning from Phantom Blood to Battle Tendency all in the span of 24 minutes. I will Joseph Joestar is definitely the protganist that just hit the ground running for me when it comes to Jojo again I have nothing against Johnathon but I could see why he would be a turnoff for some people where he’s kind of a wishy washy sort of main character a bit hestiant to do anything at first but he comes through in the end, Joseph on the other hand, is more rounded as a character, he’s kind of more a smart ass of a character bit more arrogant in the good way and willing to scrap with anyone who dares question him. Benjamin Diskin though he’s essentially using his Nigel Uno/Number 1 voice from Kids Next Door but more natural sounding he definitely gives off the sort of vibes that Joseph Joestar has as a character while at the same time making him likable in the process which can an easy to do when your doing show-offy sort of characters but he manages to tread the line so well here. I honestly don’t know where the hell Joseph had his tommy gun but him using it does making for a good cliffhanger though. I’m totally onboard with Battle Tendency and it’s definitely going to improve on what Phantom Blood did in the second half and just do more of what made that part good for me. Once again I really like Joseph Joestar as a character and he’s just gonna continue to impress as the rest of the show goes on I think. Otherwise great introduction to the next part of Jojo, great introduction to Joseph Joestar as a whole as well as the surrounding characters around him in New York. Not much else to say but it was a great episode on the whole. |
