I think the anime could use a second season since the story still has unresolved plot threads. I'll definitely keep watching if they make another season two or three years down the line. I would be shocked if S2 comes out 2024, if at all. I hope to be proven wrong about that though as it was a fun watch for me.

I was expecting huge fight scenes but it turned out to be disappointing maybe second would be better. Don’t get me wrong I loved the show but I was expecting better fight scene then that

Hopefully none. There are so many anime’s that deserve another season before this does

Likely.

It has a source.

They barely scratched the surface of a typical light novel setup premise.
No way they would've greenlit the first cour.

Without having at the least enough for a second cour immediately ready to go. It'll probably be out and ready in the winter season to correspond with light novel and manga sales.

Then they'll wait and see.
For how sales are boosted. If at all.

Before clearing a third season.
Or even a fourth.

Which even if this isn't that popular overall.
If it budges the source in whatever form.

I could see this being a solid two to four cour anime series.
Its got an open ended enough premise.

With a fairly non linear progression.

Also it got an immediate and clearly well received dub.
With Queen Nunnally being a driving force behind the production.

Stretching this out as long as possible.
To include as many blu rays and associated merch.
That comes with developing a cast.
When you have a good lead and support.

Is always better off than adding filler.
Or dropping in quality to close a series out.

This is a straight adaptation no doubt about that.
So they can take the edited and syndicated book.

Making it move and give it projection.
Keeping the visuals, when applicable in a sol.
High with ^ considered. Is an easy production environment.
Low cost, high return.

Irregardless of it hitting a niche audience or a broader appeal.
Its airing. So that means it's still content.

Its always far easier to start from a solid foundation.
This isn't a motion picture.

We don't have any real cause for concern regarding box office bombs. Damaging the origination property.

Its been a solid production so far.
With good voice acting. In Japanese and English.

Thats a step above most airing shows.
If it has that before its blu ray is developed.

It wasn't the best, but it was something light and fun to look forward to. I hope a season 2 gets greenlit, but it wouldn't surprise me if this is just a one and done type of deal made to promote the source.

the 'new trend' over the past 5 years of putting an 'art card' at the end of the 12th episode announcing 'part2' or 'season 2' or 'production is continuing' did NOT happen this time. so, it is bucking that trend. ep12 aired a little more than a day ago in Japan and no tweets or anything else has been mentioned, but that is too early for most of the 'there will be more' press-releases to happen.

considering the cheap way this show was made, and the 'all over the place story' that hops back and forth like a Pomeranian on meth... it isn't that high quality of a LN and it wasn't a high production value project for the studio either. perhaps it was a low priority project for Staple Entertainment? hmm, let's examine their previous projects... ohh gawd, their first ever project was one of the new sub-sub-genre of anime... the lady-comi (adult woman porn manga) short format hentai adaptation '3-byougo, Yajuu. Goukon de Sumi ni Ita Kare wa Nikushoku deshita' AKA '3 Seconds Later, He Turned Into a Beast'. most folks will recognize Staple Entertainment's second project... 'Kinsou no Vermeil: Gakeppuchi Majutsushi wa Saikyou no Yakusai to Mahou Sekai wo Tsukisusumu' AKA 'Vermeil in Gold'. that one had a MUCH higher production value than Jitsu had (and i won't comment on 3-seconds since i have never and will never watch it). but Vermeil ALSO did not have an 'end card' and also hasn't received any other 'sequel' news after EXACTLY 1 year (now) since its release. SE's FOURTH project will arrive in January 2024 and is titled 'Kekkon Yubiwa Monogatari' AKA 'Tales of Wedding Rings' and from the teaser preview... that one looks like it is going to be as sketchy or peculiarly filled with fantastical ecchi and quasi-romance as Vermeil was. Staple Entertainment was founded in 2020 and has yet to produce even one single sequel, which does not bode well for a Vermeil or Jitsu sequel... unless both franchises are switched to some other studio.

my opinion? Staple is too new and too unstable of a studio to trust they'll create a sequel. i bet each project they've worked on (or work on for next year) has been on a limited budget and were tightly constrained 'maximize the profit' productions.
just an ol school American otaku enjoyin the life. don't sass me kiddies, i've been otaku probably since before you were born. leave me in peace and i won't bother you either.

The way they ended it the team behind it are definitely hoping to make a season 2, but depending on how sales and general interest actually goes for this show, it can end up just being forgotten about.
It would be sad if it couldn't get a season 2 because there's still so much to come out of this but at the same time if they were never able to make a season 2 I honestly wouldn't miss it tbh.

Hopefully we get a season 2. Despite the rating, the anime was surprisingly decent. Definitely on the above average side of your typical isekais you see nowadays.

I hope not but with the plethora of isekai getting sequel it's not like it's 100% impossible.
