| @poopdisease100 i concur with @Kays90... this anime does seem like a 'pump and dump' 12 episode/1 season show made merely to promote the source materials' sales as well as make money for everybody involved in the anime. the 'art card' shown after the final episode promoting/announcing a sequel, or further production of some project, or some other announcement, has become more popular amongst the anime studios in the past 5-10 years. but as we know from anime like 'Moonlit Fantasy' those 'art cards' right after the final episode DO MESS UP and productions can be delayed for years. even to the point of an entire show being moved to a brand-new studio. i myself haven't research Sweet Reincarnation too much. but some good GENERAL indicators that an anime is just a 'pump and dump' project follow. 1 find out if the source materials have a NEW or REPRINTED volume/project coming out immediately before the anime starts (a month or less), a volume published DURING the show's run, or a new volume will be published within a month AFTER the anime ends. 2 production value. Sweet Reincarnation was OBVIOUSLY one of the following: RUSHED, CHEAP/LOW BUDGET, or LOW PRIORITY for studio SynergySP. an easy way to tell? background characters that are ALSO part of the dialogue of the scene, ZERO EYEBALLS AND BLANK FACES. even in the season finale, which is one of the TWO MOST IMPORTANT and EXPENSIVE episodes of a season... Lord Morteln and Lord Hubarek are shown with ZERO FACES in 'long camera shots'. but suddenly when the camera cuts to a 'closeup' they have well drawn and detailed faces with animation. this is a shortcut multiple animation studios worldwide have used for decades to reduce workload on their staff, manhours spent on the scene, and the need to 'fix errors'. |
