Rushed ending and downgraded after season 1?

I really feel like s2 was a disappointing compared to s1 and ending was kind bad to be honest .The plan William tried to achieve his goal in the end was kinda typical anime story (but I do like the William and Holmes chemistry). Honestly I expected more from William because his character in s1 was very complex and his emotional mangement over ever situation really makes me to watch him more.But it all went to downside after watching s2.
Season 1>>>>season 2
Far by Sherlock Holmes is the best character in find in the series then its willaim

Manga is still in progress and there have certainly been some skips but overall it's well adapted and I hope for an anime sequel when the manga will have advanced enough.
And in reality it's only 1 same Season divided into 2 parts.
Personally I preferred part 2 for simply the fact that we are finally a common thread.

manga Is ongoing but It isnt important, the author Simply want more money from the serie. we can consider S2 the end of the story.

I found my people! S1 was amazing and an interesting play on the original story. S2 still had some of that, but I the ending felt rushed and like a Zero-Requiem clone.
The manga however only falls from there

Tbh considering the fact that half the anime dont even get proper endings or more than one season, I guess we should be thankful that we even got an ending or some closure lol.

I agree season 2 has its shortcomings but I personally liked the ending unlike manga, dragging the storyline

It really started going down hill after that "Killer Bean" scene involving a Gatling gun. I still enjoyed the second season, but yes, the quality felt significantly lower.

actually, I watched it recently and felt the same way. I believe that after the episode, which Sherlock shoots that person with a gun, it becomes downward. We can't see the development of characters and their feelings towards each other anymore. I put the blame to skipping some stories in anime compared to manga for that (I didn't read it, but they say there are skipped stories that can show the development of characters' relationships) and manga being ongoing is another reason I'm convincing myself for that! cause the ending was totally rushed and not believable, especially with that "bc he is my friend" agenda from Sherlock.

adding my five cents that I agree :D. I LOVED the first season, the criticism of society, the disappointment with the world. I was scared and fascinated by James because he could be so cruel. The second season was still a good thing to watch but I was about to give on it like twice throughout the series and while I managed to watch S1 so quickly, I finished S2 because I felt I should.
I was also underwhelmed by Sherlock and that´s something.

It just felt rushed the first season was good and i can describe the second season as Not grate not terrible. I am personaly dissapointed but i saw worse.
