I was obsessed with Code Geass until a little bit ago, since I had FINALLY finished it.

But right now... I dunno. o_o I guess I'm getting into the swing of .hack again; like, I might end up rewatching Roots for the 238472983th time. *pie'd*

And now I'm pretty much exclusively watching Monster and loving the heck out of it. I kick myself for not watching it sooner.

Though I'd probably not enjoy it as much subbed. Stuff set in countries outside of Japan just feels weird in Japanese to me, despite anime being set in Japan being dubbed into English all the time...

Then again, I do have huge fangirlish bias towards Liam O'Brien, so that probably has something to do with it.

I have the exact same feeling about that. That's one reason I'd never watch Hellsing in the original Japanese.

Well, in line with the subject of the thread, I'm currently obsessed with Dogs: Bullets & Carnage, particularly the character Haine Rammsteiner. I found a place to download manga scans so I can start reading and I'm going to start buying them as soon as possible.

Not really an obsession, but I tried watching Final Fantasy VII - Advent Children again, except this time I lowered my expectations to simply enjoy the visuals, fights and the fan wank ... and I still don't like it that much lol. I just can't get past the first half being so freaking boring. It's horrible.

I still hold firm that Loz, Yazoo [wth I almost typed "Yahoo"...] and Kadaj are some of the worst abominations Square Enix has come up with. Seriously, WHO thought they were a good idea?

SO HEY, WHO LIKES TALES OF THE ABYSS?

Yeah, I've been watching the anime lately. Really liking it, especially how close it sticks to the game. And I am frickin' obsessed with the opening song, oh my good gracious yes.

... in fact, I'm gonna go watch some TotA RIGHT NOW so I can listen to it. LOLBAI!

After finishing the Tales of the Abyss anime, I have this to say.

Play. This. Frickin'. Game.
Or watch the anime if you haven't already since it's pretty darn close.

'Cause goshdarnit it has some of the best character development and I love the story and it makes me cry inside. ;3;

I dunno, I strongly recommend the game over the anime. While yeah, it's their most faithful adaptation yet, I just found the game astronomically better. It got really rushed in some spots, and I HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATED how they threw Luke/Tear in our faces. The game, it brought it up sometimes, but it was nice and subtle about it. In the anime, though? "OHEMGEEYOUGUYSMAKEATTLYKAWAIIDESUNECOUPLETEEHEEGIGGLE". And it went on, like, every other episode. =_=

I still recommend the anime, but I'll always recommend the game higher. But that's just me.

Heh, I feel the same. I hardly watched anything last month due to apathy while sick and visiting relatives. I'd also marathoned a couple of shows to finish them and that sort of thing always puts me off stuff for a while.

I've finally got into the Nodame Cantabile phase. It's such a fun series to watch! I also find it funny that I see a lot of my Music Major friends in that series. XD
