What a fantastic although a bit weird conclusion to this series, nice to get some answers also as to who Black Ghost really was and Skull was not the Big Bad after all and the funny thing was ultimately he himself was disposed off by someone more powerful up in the ranks much like how he executed his subordinates for being failtures, I liked that.

And I guess the ending is up to your own interpretation if 002 and 009 lives, the ending came off as bittersweet still for me. Really enjoyed my first Cyborg 009 and gonna check out more related stuff to it like Cyborg 009 VS Devilman now~

BIG OOF. THAT WAS SO EMOTIONAL TTATT. I'd already seen this ending a few times but Francoise's VA crying was such a gut punch. The part with the Pu'Awak sisters hands being placed together was really sad as well. I kind of wish there weren't 3 more episodes because that was such a satisfyingly devastating ending :'(

Well, that was a fast ending!

But at least we got to know Skull was only a puppet robot that was manipulated by those brain machines, in other words Black ghost was not an individual, but an organization carried out by brains connected to machines. It kinda reminded of psycho pass, how the Sybil system is just brains connected to machines.

They left us hanging on whether 002 and 009 survived or not, but I highly doubt they did, as it was a really high fall from the two. Felt bad for 003 though, after the way she cried. But I felt more saddened by 002, because he went to save joe for 003 and didn't want her to be distraught, that's true love from the guy. He sacrificed himself to see the woman he loves happy, even if it was to another guy. As for the romance part between 003 and 009, I felt it was there but they chose not to dwell on it much, the series also ended without sweeping everything. I also felt Claus Van Bogoot died so weak and very lackluster, they could've made it a duel between him and 004, since Claus Van Bogoot killed his love interest Biina. I was also saddened by the death of the Pu'Awak noble-born sisters, Biina's calling of 004's true name made it more emotional.

I felt the Zattans were unnecessary for this arc, as they didn't impact much on the series.

But overall this was a good arc that I truly enjoyed. But it seems like everywhere 009 and his crew go, they leave everyone dead. First the cyborg assassins of course, second the Mythos cyborgs, third Gamo and his mutant warriors, and lastly the Pu'Awak noble-born sisters. It followed a certain pattern about it.

I wrote a very poetic coda to this episode. Then my wifi cut out. I'm not typing it again.

In the end, I am happy I watched this show as a kid and finished it as an adult. If I don't count the last 3 episodes of this show, cyborg 009 is a 9 out of 10.

This seems like a finale: Black Ghost is really a universal cult of brains and 009 and 002 died reentering Earth's atmosphere.  Intriguing since there are a few episodes left.
