Watched Love Live Nijigasaki and it felt more like a episodic slice of life. Is this similar?

bangdream is good but isnt insanely good, like love live. as a man who loved both i have to give it to love live first 2 love live where great including sunshine. nijigasaki was just a gacha grab ,while bangdream they got a miss first 2 season was boring and they kinda just nearly got it but kinda flopped in the end and with the Roselia movie kinda was at best a 7 but the popping party was good (havent watch the mornifaction new one) which people would recommend you playing the game to have a better understand of the story or the lore for Bangdream.basically the good story are hidden in the game. basically if you wanna learn about a certain character you like you have to play or check out the game or read there manga to know more details(use wiki but who uses wiki). infact there are things in the manga and games that help you better understand certain characters. but personally i would recommend more on Love live if you want character development and like just good story but if you like cute adorable lesbians bangdream got you coverd( they aint true lesbians, but the head hanchos are doing lesbian shit for them which 100/100) but who knows with a upcoming anime(probably) bangdream could hit a home run they already got the tools but they just missed.

nijigasaki is just a adopted son you like it but you dont see it as your main son, basically its just telling you hey play our game and the fact that the game story is better than the anime story tells you alot about it.

The first season of BanG Dream! focuses on the flagship band of Poppin'Party.

It tells the story of how Poppin'Party started with Kasumi Toyama in the center of it all.

I have not watched any Love Live content so I cannot comment on it. What I can say, however, is that the first season is a story of the birth of Poppin'Party—the friendships made, the struggles they've faced, and their eventual formation.

I'd still call it a Slice-of-Life, but it does contain the story of how Poppin'Party came to be, so feel free to decide with that in mind.

P.S. You can watch the first season without knowing anything about the franchise, game nor live bands!

Disclaimer: I'm biased towards the franchise simply because the seiyuus do actually play instruments. Poppin'Party is a real band, along with Roselia.

In my opinion the girls in Bang Dream have more depth, but that’s up for discussion.

A lot of the groups in Love Live have one big event as their focus when the different bands in Bang Dream each have their own focuses. Bang Dream has an overlap where the different bands interact with each other instead of just being looked up to or being inspirations for each other.

Love Live has more of a focus on the actual school while Bang Dream focuses on outer events. Bang Dream has more of a variety of different genres while Love Live has your typical idol arrangements, ballads, and EDM songs.

I think both are great as their own separate things. I don’t really see them as the same but there are some similarities, like a focus on only girls, some yuri innuendos, and being able to watch the characters grow as the stories progress.

Now as for the actual show, the first two seasons Bang Dream are pretty slow. The first centres around Poppin Party and is pretty much a summary of the first few chapters in the game. The game is leagues better, but the Garupa series are pretty fun and entertaining.

As for Love Live, I found Nijigasaki to be incredibly boring compared to the rest of the series. Sunshine is my favourite.

Imo where love luv is best at anime and games are meh, bang dream shines as a rythm game more than an anime (season 1…)

But both are really good franchises

I prefer BanG Dream but that might be because I play in bands. Seasons 2 and 3 really appealed to me with all the interaction between the different bands. It was our glimpse into their local music scene!

Massive favour to BanG Dream regarding to music. but that’s about it. I prefer love live, Super Star and Niji in particular with their comedy and story than BanG Dream.

I prefer Love Live but I think both are pretty good to be honest.
