Bro wdy expect...? its one of those trash isekai animes but are somehow addicting despite the cliche plot... the good character designs and animation are a plus point I guess... but thats it...

It is not that he does not give a damn, he still has the same mindset he had when he was considered fat, ugly, disgusting by his own family and by society.

He is just not thinking of himself as anything much and prefers to make others happy.

Nothing wrong with that.

Note: I don’t lazily watch 3-5 episodes, biasedly compare to other anime, or unfairly judge by surface level similarities. With every anime I start, I watch the entire series, both Japanese Sub & English Dub, then judge each anime based on what they present, to give an honest and fair rating.

From personal experience I can tell you that getting over such a negative self image takes quite a lot of work, that he hasn’t been doing.

Look at anorexic persons. They can look at the mirror, measure the little they eat and still think they’re fat.

I hadn't read the LN or manga. When I saw the animation, I thought that it's probably popular enough to get such a good adaptation.
But... it's nothing more than average. Even bad you could say. I was going to read the LN, but the anime along with MC's idiotic humble personality, made me just decide to drop it altogether.
