| Hmm. You're right. Very similar to Air. Question is... which do you think is better series/movie/and all? :P Clannad seemed to have a happier mood throughout the series/movie. In the end, it provided an "out" to the sad story that developed. Air, if I remember correctly, was more depressing and there was no way to make the ending a happier one. Also if you watched the Air ~In Summer~ 2 episodes, it contributed to the sad part of the story. |

| I also advice to watch the series first and the movie afterwards. I complained about the lack of impactful drama in the series (other than the first arc) and the movie served plenty of that. Actually after watching the movie I understand more of the TV series. Question: Are you really sure it is an alternative setting? Do you remember the little girl running in the flower field in the OP of the TV series? I think it's rather clear who this girl is ... so I have my doubts about alternative. Therefore I think Clannad TV goes into the same direction. At least if there were a S2. Maybe they will tell that ending in the OVA (ep 24) ? |
