The first section of the anime is focused on the game guild and meeting the other players. The second section of the anime is focused on them getting to know each other, trust each other, care for one another, and start developing feelings for one another. The next section of the anime is focused on exploring their relationship and potential romance between the two. Seems totally fine for me. Patience is a known as a virtue. |

Note: I don’t lazily watch 3-5 episodes, biasedly compare to other anime, or unfairly judge by surface level similarities. With every anime I start, I watch the entire series, both Japanese Sub & English Dub, then judge each anime based on what they present, to give an honest and fair rating.  |

| The last two episodes did slow it down with Akane’s illness and the introduction of a romantic rival. But it’s still beautiful to watch with great art and music. |

| It's ridiculous the amount of peeps in here that tell OP that their are wrong by claiming that this is kind of the standard for romance shows. As someone who is into romance shows/slice of life/drama this is definitely quite slow and slugish both in character development and storyboarding. It uses very overused tropes such as "c*ckblockers" that just elongate or procastinate key moments (for instance the guys from Momo's mixer in episode 11 that came out of nowhere). |
