like seriously, its literally a blend of sci fi, time travel with a mix of comedic and serious moments, and the author confirmed that the cgi and rotoscoping were done as a joke.

seriously, looking at most of the reviews are just people who saw the first 3 episodes and droped.
I was thinking about it was well but this anime surprised me, and the manga gets even crazier, not saying this is some masterpiece but this actually doesn't follow any of the generic isekai tropes at all, something that even stuff like konosuba does etc.

I still need to catch up on this show but even judging from what little I saw, I 100% agree that you’re right on the money here. I feel like it should be obvious to everyone without having even seen many episodes that this is not your typical isekai. Sadly a very obvious conclusion I have arrived at in life is that more than most don’t bother to even do basic analysis with anything they consume. RIP lost souls.

The religion angle is really interesting and the show does it pretty well. I was about to drop the show after the first episode, but then I saw the second and realized this show is awesome.

It’s probably got such low scores and overall poor reception because the animation isn’t that good. But I agree the anime is really interesting and fun.

Stanger thing is no matter bad the animation gets sometimes, I can't stop laughing.
Most of the time I'm like :"this is clearly not a very good show in any way so why can't I stop laughing, why the hell is it so damn funny.

Not feeling it. The religious element sounds a lot more engaging the first couple episodes then just goes nowhere except for a gamified worshiper score. Now it just feels like a title tossed out there and not a real element.

The animation (and mixed media) is sloppy and cheap. Even if that’s the point it comes across crappy rather than edgy or innovative.

The MC is flat and boring. The surrounding characters are 1 dimensional. The Goddess is annoying. The ongoing jokes are lame and juvenile. The ONLY Isekai out right now that I think is worse is Smartphone 2 which isn’t even bothering to phone in a plot line at this point. 🤷🏻‍♂️

The only people who did like this show is those who have CGI phobia! Yeah the CGI is bad BUT the story is very unique and interesting for an Isekai and some of the battle scene looks really Good! Definitelly very Underatted and Probably the BEST Isekai this season! (Dead Mounth Death Play is a close second)

This is indeed an underrated show. I cannot tell if the horrible cgi is for comedic reasons or they were short on budget, but is sad that people are dropping it for that.
