In the real world, the male MC would have been invisible to both the female MC and Chinatsu, mainly since Tthe male MC is not tall, nor he is special in the looks department, nor he is popular, while the female MC and Chinatsu are both pretty and popular. |
| Something about this anime and how it executed its story was so weirdly stilted. It just permeated everything that I can't really put my finger on it, but that always kept me at a distance from the romance and romance always works the best for me when it feels personal. There are some things I glimpsed here and there that was promising, but overall this doesn't leave a very strong impression on me. |

| The ending was worth every ounce of frustration this anime pulled out of me. I'm physically exhausted, but relieved. Loved the online novel idea, I lost it when Akane was reading it on the train. Too damn sweet. I suppose it's too much to hope for another season (or movie) about the events that came after this, given the wonderful ED LINE sequence that ties it off so nicely. :( |

| An excellent finale to a great romance series! So Chinatsu confessed to Kotarou, and despite him rejecting her, that caused the conflict between him and Akane. But despite that and the hurt feelings between them, it’s so nice that all worked out in the end. And those scenes at the very end of the episode, very, very moving! I loved the music too! And the scenery, especially with the Sakura trees, was awe inspiring! |

| I disliked the ending. That was kinda awful. Uneventful, meaningless, passing by like water under a bridge, leaving behind nothing. |
