The kids part ain't that good I agree, but there is a different for the last few episodes which I think they are kinda part of, I don't really remember exactly, but ye, the kids part is not that big, and we will even get to see even more of the Chinese server guys, also, you are not the only one watching this late, I myself watched it just this year, still haven't been able to get myself to watch season 3 tho

The Quest ends at 2 or 3 Episodes before the ends of the Season.
You won't see the Chinese Server cast again in the Anime tho , aside from the very end of this Season.

The kids are extremely important characters , and their screen time is basically 50% of the overall story.
If you truly don't like them , i guess it'll be hard to continue this series... (They are focused on for only a very few Episodes in Season 3 tho.)

UNTIL, they switched to following the characters on the Chinese server, just to have it brought back to a side quest with the kids.
