Interesting to see Taichi's reevaluating himself. It's nice to see everyone celebrating the holidays together like a family. As for Chihaya, I'm looking forward to see what she'll accomplish next year in the story. Lol, the Santa jokes |

| lol @ Mamo's character got something for meijin. Next is Meijin vs. Mamo's character, and main girl vs. a girl w. level B. Both lost. Main girl got the most shock because she lost to level B. Mamo's character wants a rematch, though. She's sad about being called she cannot be a queen, but she went to her teacher to tell him about meijin's weak point. Teacher used his style to cheer her up. About current queen. More practice, she's still not herself, though. Nikuman-kun suggesting for Christmas party at Miyu-Miyu's character's house. It's to make his brothers happy. Miyu-Miyu's character got a present, too. Current queen practicing during Christmas. The group checking on the meijin and queen competition. TV broadcast to net live broadcast. Hosoya-san's character got fever, though. Fortunately, he can watch live broadcast. | Hahhhh so good. I love how Taichi is attracted to Suo's style of karuta... The matches are about to begin! I really love seeing Arata checking the online streaming and laughing at the comments xD I wish we could see more of this goofy side of his. It still pisses me off to this day that Chihaya went to Harada-sensei to babble about Suo's weakness... I guess it's normal and what you'd do in a situation like this to support someone you like/respect (I believe all of my karuta club would share information among them)---but it's clear that she's doing it mostly because she's hurt that he was so mean to her. Anyway--- Taichi suffering in the background as usual. He's getting tired, so tired, and it's clear. Hahhh... Let's go. |

| Felt bad chihaya seeing so depressed after that Suo statement and then losing to a B class player after put her down even more. But her strong hardheadedness is what i like, she tried helping out harada sensei from what she learnt after her loss. quite commendable. Hope she doesnt think about it too much and gets some inspiration from harada sensei's match. Taichi atleast he is keeping his head clear and being smart about stuff. Clearly growing stronger with his close loss with sudo and a loss with no mistakes against suo. I think he is gonna get mentoring from suo since he is attracted towards his style and also knows how to win over suo with snacks. xD The Christmas event was a nice breather from karuta to be honest. The club members putting efforts in making tsukuba's brothers happy was really wholesome. Chihaya dressed as santa was so adorable and funny and but they ran away from her & she even wrote lines for them, poor girl xD  Tsutomu's deep words about what a family means "Doesnt matter how long you known them and how close you are". Chihaya imagining Arata in the present with taichi & others celebrating together, Really wholesome. Good display of relationships and familial bonds. Then we have Shinobu, struggling with her own problems, karuta,career & future. To her what Family means i.e karuta cards. Man she really needs some good friends and people around her. Atleast her grandma even though strict tries to be a little nice to her giving some advice and sharing time with her as family. She's better than the mom tbh. And for the Last time her hair doesnt look weird, stop bullying her! She is adorable especially when she fawns of the snowmaru goodies. xD Finally the meijin & queen finals are here. Chihaya and everyone soaking up the atmosphere of the event. But Karuta matches being streamed and promoted online was something new i noticed. Maybe its the future of Karuta i guess with the growth of online platforms and internet. Poor Arata cant make it because of fever. But we got another adorable Chihaya Arata moment. Just loved the part where both blush at the same time thinking of the confession and Chihaya's words just sum it up how she feels. :) All the four participants, really looked so cool while making their entry. I loved Shinobu's appearance with her outfit , she looks royalty, fit for a queen. Inokuma with an adorable sunflower kimono, while her family cheers from behind. Harada making a appearance like a badass Veteran and meanwhile Suo looks like a Yakuza Triad Leader, i swear xD Next episode is gonna be real hype, really rooting for Harada sensei and Inokuma. Hope the veterans pull a victory. |
| I swear Taichi has so much potential and if there's one person who will dethrone Suo it will be him. Suo has already recognised his skills. I want to say Harada FTW but I feel like Suo won't lose his title just yet. Same with Shinobu, I feel like she's going to win as well but let's wait and see. This season has been amazing, man. If the overall score wasn't spammed it would rank VERY HIGH like around 8.80 or something smh |

| Oooooh Suo acknowledging Taichi's skills... Hope Taichi will find his own style of karuta. A little change of pace with the christmas scenes was nice to see! Just before we begin another (I presume) action packed episode with the Master and Queen matches. Harada looking like a champ with his entrance (those comments on the livestream were a cute little addition ^^), can't wait to see him in action. |

| Loved the parts where Taichi won Suo's favor, that was funny. I also like how he's attracted to Suo's style of play. Harada after learning about Suo's 'weakness' and wanting to keep it to himself was amusing. Loved the last scene with the pre-match prayers. |

| Man Sou is just like a sulking little kid. Nice that Taichi actually came out that he lied tho. I hope Chihaya doesn't let what Sou said get to her too much. Anyway it should be some great games. Harada probably won't win, but it would be awesome to see. |
| Taichi! <3 Gotta love him how he finds Suo-meijin's karuta appealing! And gotta love how he went and told what Suo-meijin was needed to be told! "Don't break someone with your words when you cannot with your game." He is so precious! Also, being attracted to Suo-meijin's style of play is nothing out of the box. Taichi has always used his wits when he played against stronger opponents. Just like he almost threw Chihaya off with his card arrangement or making deals with Dou-S-no-Sudou-san! And of course, he has the brains to manipulate his opponents if he wanted. I always thought Taichi is wasted in Shiranami's offensive karuta style! You go and make me proud, boy! You gave bad feelings to that Suou-mejin of all people! <3 Meanwhile, my baby Arata caught a cold when he was this close to the hall and now just cannot but watch streaming! Poor baby! He never used nico so he doesn't know how to turn of those onscreen comments! I was laughing so hard! But that smirk was so cute! <3 But really, we have seen the dark side of Chihaya for the first time. Suou-meijin's words completely broke her to the point tears swelled in her eyes and she went and told Harada-sensei something that she probably shouldn't have. I really never expected to see Chihaya like that so it hurt me so much when it gets revealed. But in return, it gave Harada-sensei the slightest of hopes if he ever had any! Win it for Chihaya, Harada-sensei!  The best part of the episode was Tsukue-kun's words on family and the person Chihaya wanted to find amongst them was Arata. She wasn't even hiding it when going to see the title matches had two agendas in her. Watching the matches and wanting to meet Arata because she knew he would be there. Her curious gazes to find Arata further proved that her mind has been all over the place and Arata's confession really changed her inner being - with these sansations in her stomach and her fingertips! The girl doesn't know that these feelings are very pure - meant for only one person in the world! For her, it may not be conclusive, but for me, those are romantic feelings. <3 Oh, how I really wanted to see Chihaya's reaction to meet Arata! She would probably really burn to crisp if he saw him right now! So, in the hindsight, it could be a blessing that he caught a cold! But noooooo~ I wanted to see more of my Arata. He is such a precious pinapple cake! <3 Next stop is the bloody amazing title matches. The two matches are gonna make history! When I was reading the manga, I had goosebumps all over me so I am hoping that we see it animated properly by the amazing MADHOUSE who have put everything together so far immaculately and made it such a memorable expereince! I can see this one going into my all time faves! |

| Awesome buildup episode! We're finally almost underway for the title matches, fudge yeah! Harada-sensei had quite the entrance but what about Suou-meijin yo? That give shudders for real, jeez. Let's go, let's go, let's go, Harada-sensei! Nice little focus on the Queen earlier as well, I hope that's not foreshadowing for a downfall or something of the sort. With that said though, I'm also supporting Inokuma-san so it's a really tough call to make. Sad that Arata is unfit for the occasion though. Good thing the 'change in times' enables to keep up through online, on that note. Seeing those comments floating above sure reminds me of bilibili here, and very exasperating indeed. Dat phone conversation though, how very youthful and sweet. Anyway, Taichi and Suou-meijin really are alike in many ways and much similar in their play styles too as @shanimebib rightly pointed out, I'm looking forward to seeing more of them together in future episodes! Having to make the Meijin himself get all the 25 cards is amazing, damn that's Taichi for you. I really hope this will motivate Taichi to replicate some of the Meijin's darker tactics or forge anew a few for himself. Chihaya falling into a slump as a result of last week's cliffhanger is no surprise xD but I suppose it's good timing as well in the sense that she'll have to keep away from the sport for a while which might just help preventing further deterioration, I reckon. Harada-sensei wanting to keep his weakness in check was pretty hilarious too, how fitting for him lol. I wonder what it is though, hmm... Lmfao, that Santa fail though. Hurts that she was very much prepared for it too, and that makeup holy sh!t. I think I understand why her mother was worried about Chitose's future roles centering around this now, lol. And those Tsukaba brothers really are precious. Hanano-san shook by their mother's beauty was quite the nice addition lol, she's very similar to the Tsukaba siblings in that aspect (attracted to good looking people, that is), no? Can't wait for more! Just 8 more episodes... |

| My most favourite dynamics started in this episode. Taichi and Suou both are getting interested in eachother's play style. Suou because he couldn't trap Taichi with his usual nasty game style and Taichi because he is fascinated by it.....ah these 2. I love them both so much!!! Poor Chihaya got a bit emotionally crushed by Suou.....and for the first time lets her negative feelings run her mouth....not very usual behaviour for Chihaya, so Suou really stung were it hurt most. Poor Arata, sick again. And Chihaya is still under the spell of his confession. So very innocent romance.....lol. |

(Sniff, cough) I’m serious; I was like Arata today, being sick with a little fever with a terrible cough/flu while watching this fascinating episode: being sick didn’t stop me from watching this episode, but I couldn’t go to work today: I totally understand Arata’s pain of being sick: we need to get better,(cough, cough) lol… Poor Chihaya, the pain she went through by Suo's nasty words, he's so cruel: but this will only make her stronger ( exactly how he criticized Arata doing the qualifier tournament): part of their next mission is to prove Suo wrong how little he sees them, GO KARUTA-BAKAS SHOW WHO'S BOSS!!!! Christmas party was adorable ( a little late for Christmas in our time, but it's a warm feeling seeing Chihayafuru's second Christmas being animated, re-experience the Christmas spirit again: for one Tsusumu’s little brothers for believing in Santa Clause ( Chihaya’s disguise was superb: if it wouldn’t be for her dress-up demonstration we wouldn’t guess it’s her, she’s so good with surprises): and the part afterward was so magical: where desk-kun mention about spending Christmas with everyone is like a dream: to Chihaya’s, her dream would be complete if Arata was there with everyone: even though he imagines him there for her it left a sincere warmth in her heart ( so much she even said Arata’s name three times with such tenderness): I really wish Chihaya's dream would have come true: Arata being in Tokyo to spending X-mas with Chihaya, I'm positive in the future after Arata moves to Tokyo where they can spend X-mas together: OMG, NOW THAT WILL BE BEAUTIFUL!!! Having Arata spending time with everyone in the Mizuzawa team will be wonderful to see. I really wish to see this occasion happening for reals at least once); there's always next time Chihaya, hang in there. OMG, don’t get me started next, where Chihaya was looking for Arata from the audience she gives him a call ( for her getting so overly nervous by dialing his phone was so ADORABLE): hearing Arata’s sick voice made me feel so sorry for him: Chihaya knew he was sick just by hearing his voice alone: when she wished him well: they both synchronized the same feeling without saying a word of it: REMEMBERING ARATA’S WORDS OF LOVE MADE BOTH CHIHAYA AND ARATA BLUSH TOGETHER AT THE SAME TIME OMG, THAT’S SO CUTE ( SO MUCH THAT I EVEN SCREAMED SO LOUD FROM THE CUTENESS, THOSE TWO REALLY DRIVES ME INSANE, THEIR AFFECTIONS FOR EACH OTHER REALLY IS IN THE ABOVE LEVEL!!!! Even Chihaya noticed that she been feeling so weird all because of Arata: her stomach and fingers feels warm “all the time”: what she’s feeling is completely normal, because she affections towards Arata surely is showing what she deeply feels for him, SERIOUSLY, I CAN’T STOP LOVING THIS SHIP SO MUCH!!!! DAISUKI!!!!! <3  ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ The next episode will be the start of the Queen/Meijin tournament: stay tune. | Taichi seems to be wandering down a much more fascinating path than Arata and Chihaya. How Taichi managed to win over Suou was priceless, Taich will truly go places. I bet the mach review was fruitful, a glimpse into novel possibilities. I wish to root for Harada in the coming showoff, but Suou has grown on me... |

| One of my favorite chapters from the whole series. Really introspective and heartfelt, while also developing our understanding of karuta as a game. Also, love Chihaya as Santa. |

| Poor Chihaya, having someone like Suou say that to you must be tough :( I wish we got more out of the Taichi vs Suou match, especially with the hints at him becoming a defensive karuta player, and him not making any faults with Suou's ability to use the "your opponent makes a mistake" result part of his gameplan. Super interesting stuff. Plus him knowing exactly what to say or do to get Suou on his side LOL XD The Christmas party setup was really cute, especially with what Komano said about last year and having fun with everyone :3 Now we're back to tournament mode, with the Queen and Master matches up next. Arata's sick and watching online (those Nico-style comments were hilarious) and well, seems like Chihaya hasn't forgotten his confession and actually knows what he meant as well. How will that go ...? :P |

| Thar Christmas party was so cute! Chihaya was excellent as Santa. :D So Omi Jingu is nigh. In the upcoming episodes we will see two great duels for Master and Queen titles. Can't wait to see them! It's gonna be emotional and intense for sure. |

| i honestly think Taichi has had the most interesting character development, especially in terms of karuta. maybe he could be the only one to take down Suo or something, that would be extremely unexpected |

| Gotta love how Taichi manages to appease Suo by giving him a present and admitting he isn't Chihaya's boyfriend. Knowing the Master/Queen match is streamed online is kinda funny to me as I imagine 'kekw' and 'pogchamp' popping up in the chat. |

| Taichi's definitely going places lol that was so hilarious how he "manipulated" Suo to do what he wanted. It's an interesting way to play, Suo's. And I can't believe that the first person to not commit any faults against Suo in years was TAICHI. Taichi my boy's amazing. Seems like he's reevaluating how to play karuta, and whether the offensive style really matches him. We already saw Harada-sensei saying that Taichi's style might not be offensive, perhaps defensive. But this is something more. That Santa bit was random but heartwarming. Ah, watching Taichi suffering in the background is just ;-; he looks so tired... You need to do something, Taichi. We don't know how it'll end, but you need to do something. Arata's already moving! Fingers crossed for Taichi! Hype for the Master and Queen qualifiers! My prediction is that Harada-sensei will lose but put up a hell of a fight. Can't really tell for the Queen one.. |
