All he say about equal and accepting, but do you think he will get same treatment if he still a fat guy?

Apparently each student that is accepted goes through throughal background check prior or "is investigated" as Kaori put it, so I guess only good people attend that school and they would. For example Kaori literally did not paid attention to his appearances, only his eyes and content of his character.

I def agree with them. I think, just like the girl he saved who said he had kind eyes, the other students would still like him.

he wouldn't have been talked to as much but I'm sure they'd still have been accepting of him. or at least the girl who he saved would've.

I personally think she would have offered the invite to attend the elite school irrespective of what he looked like. I mean when she saw him at his old school she was surprised by his weight loss so it wasn't a factor

I had the same question, but I think Kaori would still treat him like he does now, but he would be even more insecure than he was in the second episode.

Similarly to titular Iruma's from different anime, his parents were not even real characters, but barely animated plot device. They are just cartoonishly evil and their entire role was to further establish Kirito Clone's already ocerexagerated plight. They are not even named characters and I assume they won't appear again. You should absolutely not think or analyse anything about then.

No, its the same case as with Yamada 999, it'll all collapse on itself, if the main character happen to be an ugly fatso.

Pretentiousness is a virtue of the young.

I've thought about this too, and honestly it would be really nice to have him return to his previous look (even for a short time) just to see how would those students and school react, and maybe see him confront his deeper insecurities.

I know they are supposed to be good people (they seemed too good to be true almost), but keep in mind they're always exposed to an environment with exclusively good looking people, so he would certainly stand out and that could result in less than positive reactions.

There is a difference in "accepting" or "being attracted" imo

They would have accepted him anyway irrespective of how he looked but their reaction or treatment towards him wouldn't have been this good if it wasn't for his looks

Based on what I'm seeing in the anime exclusively, I think somewhere in the middle would work better here:

I don't think the students would bully him. However, I sense that Kaori and her dad would have encouraged him to take up a workout or routine that would help him have a better body shape or at least present him in a more attractive way for his self-confidence. That way, he would find himself feeling more accepted, even if he didn't turn out to be the best of the best in the academy.

Nice thread, I've been thinking about the answer to the question myself. Thanks.
It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

Well Kaori is one of the important figures in the council of the school and her father being the Head and Chairman of the school, Kaori being so popular and with influence she could show people the kind side of him and he kind be judged by the look alone.

I’d say he wouldn’t have been accepted so easily. His chick didn’t mind him being fat and still wanted him to come so he’d still have her, the rest would take longer to warm up to him as much as they like instantly did. Considering you don’t see any other fat kids at the school.

same opportunity but different treatment like they would probably treat him different that when he was handsome but all and all the people didn't really made a big fuss about him being handsome so maybe if he was still a fatso people would just treat him like he's just another person in their class
and about the opportunity stuff he'd probably still be accepted in the school because the principal was like your a good boy you saved my daughter's ass so as thanks you get to go here in my school and please stay away from my daughter

Kaori liked him, did a background check on him, and her dad already wanted to enroll him into the school before they knew he was thin. With that said, I do think that he would have been treated differently by the students if he was still fat. In his class, the first thoughts in everyone's minds was "He's beautify. Is he a model?" If he didn't look that way they would have likely just welcomed him and he would have just sat down and possibly made friends with a few of the guys instead of being the center of attention by the whole class.

Other observations:
1) No other students that we've seen at the school are fat. None that he's met in person and none in the background. This could also apply outside of the school too. The Anime loves the emphasize thin people.
2) The glasses wearing nerdy anime kid is friends with the super athletic kid that can play any sport. Showing that students from different hobbies can still easily be friends.
3) Many of the students stay reserved or avoid Kaori because of her family's social standing. She doesn't have many friends as far as we know.

With these three things in mind, maybe his fatness would have made him stand out more. However with how friendly people are at the school, I don't think they would have picked on him. I think he would have just lived a normal school life as a normal student, or, at worst, people would avoid him like they do with Kaori, leaving him with just his studies and maybe one or two friends. Which, honestly is better than his previous school life.

In short, ya, he would have been treated differently.

I think they'll come to accept him now that he's good looking and MC might forgive his family too because he's a good guy.
Yeah, this might be possible

It's refreshing IMO to see a school where the higher class people are kind and friendly and not overly elitist and competitive.

As to the OP's question, the truth is probably somewhere in between what we all believe: the main character would be accepted in his fatso state, but he'd need to put effort to prove himself to others and can't get liked so easily.

It's literally a school only accepting those who have a W mindset. His siblings got rejected because of their attitude, despite being grade B+ (I assume) students.

I think most would've been very suspicious about him at first : How did he get in here? He just look like a fat otaku who doesn't take care of himself
Maybe at some point he would've made friends after some sort of event at school (school trip or whatever) where he would've done something to prove his value

I assume the people from the new school should be at the very least kinder but I highly doubt they would be that nice to him, it is a shame we never got to see if Yuuya's new friends would have accepted him before such a change, that's something Shinka no Mi did better because we know the classmates on his harem cared and fell for him while he was fat.

I think they would still accept him, but no one will attracted because he looking good like the way happened in anime, just like some people pointed out those school do background check before accepting and only "good" people get accepted to those school so i guess no bullies then, so in my opinion they'll accept him, but they probably just think of him as a normal ass fat shy person and girl would be sexually attracted just like kaede does and no one would look at his direction like his first day in canteen he will be just like you normal friendly fat kid you have in your school
