People who are saying this show has good animation are confusing it with the art? Because the art is fine indeed, but once someone starts moving, they are cutting some huge corners. That's why they are always showing closeups on the faces, eye and mouth movement are easier than animating an entire body.

The animation is actually good if you look closely at it but it also consistent and cgi is fine and not terrible like other animes that use cgi

ew...they went the lazy route and CGI-ed it....I don't mind if they CGI monsters or bits and pieces of like movements/battles or like special attacks but when you get lazy and just CGI a whole section, even with simple walking around...especially when it looked like only the MC was CGI-ed at one part while the girl wasn't it's like "GAH?! WHY??"-bothersome....such a turnoff.
Wait...I watched it again and correct myself: the reason it bugged me a lot was the transition between CGI and not CGI was not done smoothly and felt very abrupt. Like BAM suddenly MC's face is unnaturally spherical like wut?

Other than that....hope the man gets some confidence soon. I know it's kind of like a trauma for him right now but putting himself down with that "I'm not good enough" attitude is depressing and a bit cringey to watch....

that was ummmm idk bro, I prefer the main story is in real world than isekai and get harem. and still, I don't like the MC design, though the women designs are so good. The fight scene when mc fights the goblin, they used CG, and cuz the mc design is bad (imo) the cg looks like Ex-Arm lol. And the funny scene was when the mc says that "they all treated me as an equal, as a human being." they can treat him like that cuz he was no longer fat ub LMAO, cuz there is no student who had big body like he was.

Besides that, the visual and art style are so good, the eyes look like Vivy, I don't know much about this studio, but this is good, except the CG.

And the MOST important thing is that the Genshin Characters (Xiao, Barbara, and Venti) JP VA voice the characters. Maybe this is what will happen if Genshin's anime is aired.

Lmaooo died when Yuuya realised that he could get fat again from eating too much. Actually one of the most common things for people who lose weight thru surgery n shit. If you don’t change your eating habits it’ll just go right back on.

The moments with he and Kaori were pretty cute, enjoyed their little date. It’s funny seeing how Yuuya deals with his newfound popularity at ousei. Really liking this so far was gonna wait till the season ended to start reading the book but may pick it up sooner

Trust me the CG is better than this studios previous works. This was the same studio that did the 2016 Berserk adaptation. Compared to that this isnt to bad.

Of course, they did a thorough background check on him, so they know he was a fattie. They also know how far he's come in such a short time, although they don't really know the half of it. Nevertheless, anyone who has the mental fortitude to (allegedly) improve themselves that much in just a short span of time is definitely someone worth knowing, so it's no surprise they are willing to nab a star in the making. Perhaps Kaori isn't the cynical one, though. Her words and actions don't seem to have the calculation you normally expect from the elite.

Last episode had be pretty scared that it was just going to be fat guy gets hot and his entire life is fixed but I really like the direction the second ep took even if it didn’t have much fantasy stuff. Also that school was so idyllic. I’m liking the balance of slice of life to fantasy

I have no idea why people say the CGI was terrible; it was pretty good in my opinion. Maybe it's cos you've seen shows with better CGI like Demon Slayer and decided to compare it to that? PUH-LEASE. Demon Slayer is Demon Slayer, and this show is another power fantasy isekai. Taking that into consideration, the CGI already is pretty stellar.

This episode was also LIT! Yuuya and Kaori were so adorable together, and Kaori's father was one of the most wholesome dads I've seen in anime. Also, glad that Kirito made friends with Bakugo and Iruma.

kaori at least went with the intention to enroll him in the academy even before he became hot, it seems like she is the only one that isn't shallow in this anime.

too much importance in his appareance, it would've been better if he stayed fat and ungly but with the intention to improve himself after finding the other world.

Another one of those trash isekai with guilty pleasure. Cringe OP that stutter every 2 sentences he speaks cause he's "shy". Art looks like a hentai and CGI included. Story is just a joke, fat ugly bastard who became a W without any effort is totally what we all want but can't have. Every single npc looking at him calling him hot got to be the clingiest shit when dude still looks like an L but hey, beauty is subjective. Overall, trash isekai but I will still watch it cause I'm just as trash.

I knew this story was going to be ultra cringe as soon as it started but held off on calling it dog shit because the animation was good. The animation is now no longer good, the fight mechanics were half-assed, the plot is grossly predictable and I don't see it becoming less so. painful lack of character development as the tormented MC just skips to god mode because its convenient. good guys good, bad guys bad, every woman loves the nice and newly hot guy, etc.

I honestly have no idea how anyone watched this episode and thought "wow there is really going to be things that are interesting happening in this one :>"

really decent ep. vibrant colors, cgi at the end could be better but i hope it was just them cutting corners for later. sawada sensei and the other girls are hot (the chara designs for this overall is very good). 3/4 of the ep was a school SOL but was well done imo. him and kaori looked cute together, but bro about to pull more :>. hoping for more isekai action next ep to keep a good balance.

The pacing of the anime is decent, and the personality of the characters is a bit cliche, but will still be enjoyable to watch, the animation is really good, and I notice that the CG models are not too noticeable. But most of the tropes that are used here make it a bit bland. When I am watching this, it feels like the animation is the one that is carrying the series which would not be enough.

I am not trying to degrade the work that these people are putting in to this series, I am just trying to be patient and see how the story would progress, and I would love to see development within the characters of this show.

Finally the status menu was translated.
The new school was better than my expectations. I hope that he is able to make some true friends in his new school.
Looking at the situation in the other world, I think that there is a lot of scope to expand the the map there, tbh it feels like the knowledge about the isekai is not being revealed too much.
I hope that he'll explore more of the isekai in the next ep.

Pretty satisfying developments, but I can't help but wonder what they would think if Yuuya was still fat, except for Kaori, she's a keeper.

I agree though, Kaori and Yuuya are indeed adorable. The character design is still so nice, they all look so pretty lmao, especially those Kaori close ups are 👌.

Yuuya with his armor looks sick. It's honestly hilarious how all the background characters are staring. Wish fulfillment or not, this show is pretty enjoyable so far.
