| I'm going to watch this series, but I was wondering if I should watch the original first or not (this topic is not to discuss that)... I am currently watching the OVAs without background info, and I don't feel as if I'm missing out on much... So, is this a sequel or a remake? |
| A remake imo. Cobra is very much flexiible about plot progression (arc based, main plot pretty vague - at least in the anime adaptation). OVA's You've seen are sort of side stories. The only thing which might be worth watching from '80s TV version is the first episode. |

| The original series is pretty cool. I liked it. My favorite story arc was the one with the Genie. |

| soooo, should i watch this, form teh description it seems kinda basic and given the stuff that is out there, i probably would end up dropping it. |
