Solo Leveling, Volume 6, Chapter 8:

I think this is probably the most disgusting chapter yet. It's a common enough trope in Korean media to paint the Japanese as the bad guys, but this novel has taken it to the point where it causes the characters in this story to be stupid. While it is true Japan intended to betray South Korea, that is not what occurred. The plan for Jeju Island was to have the Japanese hunters to distract the ants while the Korean hunters attacked the queen. All this went according to plan as the Japanese hunters faced and were killed by the most powerful ants. Japan did no negative action to South Korea despite Japan intending to. This matters a great deal because South Korea didn't go public with the betrayal. So what the world should see is Japan sacrificed their best hunters to help a neighbor and then have that neighbor provide no aid when Japan is in need. This is extremely poor writing and it makes the author and the characters look terrible.
