Not sure exactly how I think about it, but I do like the idea of something other than an action anime getting a live action adaptation. Maybe Netflix can finally do this right, for once.

Kimi ni todoke live action movie already exists and that one compared to all live actions I've come across is the best one so far ( I fell for both actors who played the leads) ... I don't know about this one though, I hope it does justice to the anime/ manga (if it can ever be done🤭)

Looks dumb as shit. The joke about Sawako looking scary worked in anime form but it seems ridiculous seeing those real life girls scream at the sight of her.

It looks ok…but the adorable little expressions the anime captures makes all the characters so dang lovable, and you can’t really show that with a live action…that’s what makes anime so unique/special

I dont think it'll work bc there's aspects that live action can't express while the anime can and in a very good way. im talking like how Sawako is perceived as a scary person. and come on action live is like watching dub anime its shit.
(the acting is dogshit too 👍)

I am interested.... normally the anime adaptations that turn out to be good are shoujo ones..
I hope they don't screw up very badly. I don't want my fav shoujo anime to become that.

I mean they can change her character a bit towards weird than scary.
I am personally down for it considering romance adaptations turn out to be good most of the time.

come on man...their acting ain't that bad
Shonen adaptations mostly have bad actors but it's more because they are only human sometimes they can't keep up with the ridiculousness of anime(imagination)....and sub>dub...this is a trash concept...yeah they are generally better but dub aren't that bad and some anime have much more iconic dub than sub.

This would just lose all the appeal for me in live action, but I'm not exactly opposed to watching foreign films in general.

I think the actors of the old Live Action were perfect for the characters, I will take time to get used to the new scale of actors. But I hope they do a great job! :)

Normally I don't watch live actions because they are generally not that good but seeing the serious I am intrested to see if it can be up to the mark.
to be honest I just want to see a normal girl look as cute and sometimes scary as Sawako
