Definitely for me it is, it has the goofy vibe and og anime style with cgi for tbh the plot seems promising, I bet there are ppl who even read the original source of this, so yeah I have my eyes on the show

Quality wise is fine with this first episode to me. Though if you are into the dystopian type of shows like Shinsekai Yori then this is your thing, I can almost say that for sure. But we will see as the show goes forward.

It feels like an obscure 2000's fantasy show that your hipster friend assures you is one of the most underrated series ever. It feels very literary and unlike basically anything produced today, but that's not to everyone's taste, and you should only watch it if you're okay with that. It's also a cruel, sad world with characters that make understandable but extremely frustrating decisions. I feel like people who can't handle that kind of nuance are going to ragequit this show.

probably the single most interesting show airing this season, if not necessarily the best. I'm intrigued to see where it goes from here.

Best first episode of this entire season. Don't miss it. Adapted to script by Mamoru Oshii the legendary director of Ghost In The Shell. Great direction and great music. Animation quality is close to movie level.

I think it really depends on your personal taste in anime. If you like shows with slow, deliberate world building, post-apocalyptic, dystopian plots, then this show would be right up your alley.

It’s a shame you haven’t watched Shinsekai Yori yet, because this show feels eerily similar in-scope and I think it would give you a good barometer on whether or not you’ll enjoy this. I’ll flat out say it. Shows like these don’t cater to a broad audience. They tend to be acquired tastes. I was reluctant to watch SSY at first, but by the time it was done, it was easily one of my favorite anime of all-time.

Yes it is. Now it has 3 episodes on iQIYi and I watch all. It's so amazing. Story and world building are so interesting.

Great first episode imo. We'll have to see where it goes from here, but plot wise it has a lot of potential. Also, the animation style is quite refreshing (reminds me of Mushishi and Ghibli somewhat). I'd definitely recommend checking it out.

Who knows, I don't know your or similar to you people's tastes.

Plot is quite interesting, you can see a different race - "treefolk". Later you see members of different factions: Spiders clan, Divine clan. Concept of moving of collection trucks is interesting too. Animation is so so. I personally was happy to hear Sayaka Ohara's voice as Yanagi.

In over-all I would say it's a decent anime. It has a decent World-building, but don't expect anything extraordinary. I personally will watch second season, but only once.
