As the title says, I'm asking what should be better, wrapping it all up in a single 12-13 episodes season (as a 24 episodes season is unlikely) or having more seasons?

Though I got a feeling that they're going to end it in a single season.

There’s enough content for about 24 episodes, depends on the pacing - if it’s only 1 cour, ending the first season on chapter 33 could work, and a second season could adapt the rest.

Yeah I agree that 24 episodes would be perfect. There's definitely plenty that could be cut out, but as a manga reader I'd be really bummed if they squished it all into 12.

Single Season with 24 episodes would be ideal.
It’s a 4-Koma manga but still almost 60 Chapters of content and the chapters are not that short either. With 24 episodes the whole manga could be covered in one go.

In an ideal world, it would get two seasons or 24 episodes. The wonderful extras in the manga: flashback scenes, stories from childhood and middle school, and all the subplots involving the minor characters would allow for 24 episodes and still have a good pace to the main plot.

I'm worried the anime might cut that and go 12/13 episodes.

My biggest regret: Reading all 200+ chapters of Kanojo, Okarishimasu

I did not think about this, but you might be right! After watching the first episode I have the feeling they are not gonna do two seasons

I'm guessing it'll pull a horimiya and adapt the entire source material, but there's a chance it'll have a second season or second part to flesh the entire story out. A finale movie would also work well but don't count on that happening.

It's not that long and could be adapted all at once, but it'll really be rushed. I would like more time to let the romance and comedy saturate.

I'm sure they'll end it this season. There is content for more sure but they'll cut a lot.

I'm not sure how many more, but I don't think 1 season would be enough at all.
This first episode only covered the first 4 chapters and cut a fair amount of scenes already.

The manga has 51 Chapters + the epilogue special.
13 Episodes of 51 Chapters with the style of small panels with several scenes in one panel each would make the anime extremely rushed with a lot of cut content.
So, on second thought, I think a sequel season would be enough.

I came to watch this anime due to comedy. Start was great, middle is okay, end became a usual drama. Anime ended with a hint on developing usual romantic relationships. So if there will be a second season, I assume there will be a lot of romance and much less comedy. So my reaction toward it will be:

But if it will bring profit to anime studio - I don't mind, since more profit = more chances for producing other new anime.

The only thing they could add more is the epilogue valentine's chapter which is the only thing after that ending from the manga.

I have a feeling that it'll only be one season. It would be very unlikely for us to get a 2nd season, but I wouldn't mind it.

These kind of shows always make me sad in the end bc they are actually the conclusion of the story. The 2nd season culture is affecting my experience XD
