| ok guys listen, this movie should have been in the top 10 or at least top 20 of mal, why it isn't you may ask? just go to the stats for haruhi season 2 and then to stats for this movie. we all know that there is always a difference of popularity when it comes to different seasons of anime. as the series goes on some people won't watch the rest so the viewers are always the most at the first season. so the movies should be the lest popular right? wrong what if i told you, more people watched this than the second season. now keep in mind that a lot of people who have watched season 2, wouldn't have seen this. so it should have been lower, not even equal. imagine how many confused people rated this lower because they understood nothing from it. from basic math about a 1/5 or more of the people who watched this had not seen the series. just imagine how little impact this movie has, if you know nothing about the characters. well this made me kind of angry tbh, now you guys can be angry too! |

Yes,there are people who watched this Movie without finishing the TV series or even without watching the series. But I don't think the ratio is 1/5. More like 1/100. And don't worry, every popular anime has bots in it no i'm not counting bots, and it is much more than 1/5 i was being generous. from season one to season two, there are about 200,000 less who completed it. which is a drop that always happen. some people will never watch the next seasons of a series. so even if the people who dropped the show after season two are a third of that amount, that's still 70,000 people that should be not there, but instead of that we get 10,000 more people who completed it completed. and 80,000 /330,000 is much more than a 1/5. even if you think 70,000 was too big of a number to pick, you can't tell me the result is less than a 1/5/ also no i haven't watched all of top 20 but i have seen 7 of them, which is fair considering another 7 of them are gintama. and i still think this would be there, are you not seeing how high it already is even with a 1/5 or more of people not understanding most things from it? |

I’m sure there’s some people who’s don’t like it as much but their not very vocal, certainly not enough to say that there’s any substantial amount of hate for the film. hate is the wrong word, i messed up myself for using it. the movie is still really good even if you don't have background information on the series. but you wouldn't enjoy it even close to fully if that's the case. so no the movie doesn't have hate. but it would have been rated higher if not for those 1/5 or more who watched it before the series. it's like watching steins gate but skipping the first half, or going straight to aot season 3 part 2. you won't hate them, but you won't also love them nearly as much as you should. |

| I too agree that this should be in the top 20, but a lot of anime around the same score deserve to be there like Ping pong. But, ig popularity matters a lot as well, that's why something like JJK, AoT S4 and FMAB can be higher than these. |
