In any case , he would have survived.
The question was : Would he stay alone forever in the R timeline , or would he comes back to the Steins;Gate timeline.
And thanks to Kurisu , he did come back.
It's not Canon tho , as the Original series said that only 1 timeline could be active at a time , but here we see 2.
It doesn't change that it's a great and enjoyable Movie.

something that you won't understand if you apply logic. technically movie is not a canon but i consider it canon cause it shows what could be the aftermath because of changing so many world lines in previous seasons and that's what has been shown in the movie. i would call it a masterpiece equivalent to disappearencs of haruhi Suzumiya movie.

As someone who’s favorite anime is steins gate and thought disappearance of haruhi suzumiya was a master piece as well. I would support this hot take. It is a hot take don’t get me wrong but I support it

The movie makes 100% sense and consistent with S;G
Anyone who believes it's not canon and breaks the rules should really listen this Drama CD called Posteriori Existence: https://youtu.be/CEo4IsxRZ0k

This movie was initially confusing for me, but after some analysis i arrived at a conclusion:
Basically, Steins;gate movie revolves around 1 important concept.
After reaching the Steins;gate worldline where Kurisu and Mayushii both exist peacefully, Okarin believes that this world line is not real, as memories from other world lines causes his Reading Steiner to overload, causing him to disappear to the 'R' world line.
When Okarin disappeared, Kurisu rebuilt the Phone Microwave to travel back to the past, and find a solution to prevent Okarin from disappearing again. However, she failed, and before disappearing, Okarin told Kurisu to never build the time machine as it could lead to destruction again, which happened to Okarin countless of times in other world lines.
In the end, both Suzuha and Kurisu came up with another solution, which was to travel to the past (2005), and leave a lasting memory in Okarin, that has never happened in other world lines
In 2005, Okarin was comforting Mayushii when she lost her parents and she becomes his "hostage", which is a memorable moment for Okarin.
To enhance his memory and make it last, Kurisu gave him his "first kiss", which is significant as when Okarin grows up and doubts the reality of Steins;gate world line, he will always remember this and not disappear.
The last scene is a point where Okarin is now an adult 5 years later, where Okarin and Kurisu were talking about his first kiss, and he denys it was with her, but Kurisu smiles.
So Okarin is alive and it is a happy ending

Pretty much this, but here is a more precise explanation which is consistent with previously introduced S;G mechanics (copy pasted my comment from another thread)
At first, let's take a look at what happened to Suzuha. She disappears along with her time machine and no one (except for Okabe, who has a fully functional Reading Steiner) remembers her. Okabe also states that his Reading Steiner didn't activate - in the sense when the worldline changes and he actually "feels it". So she pretty much disappeared into the thin air. However, her actions in the past the consequences of those actions remained intact. She took Okabe to the past, and they saved Kurisu. This was not changed.
Secondly, let's see what happens to Okabe with the movie. He disappears into the thin air, and no one remembers him. Later of course people (who are having a weak form of Reading Steiner) start to remember him as a "deja vu". However Okabe's actions and their consequences remain intact: Kurisu is still saved, the opened bottle of Dr. Pepper falls to the ground after he disappears, etc... Sound familiar, right? :)
Now, what if I say, that the 2 phenomenon (Suzuha's disappearance, Okabe's disappearance) are not actually plot holes, or rule breaking stuff... but they are actually the exact same phenomenon? :)
The movie features the R "worldline" where Okabe is blasted into after his disappearance. The Drama CD explains it's not an actual worldline simultaneously being active with the Steins Gate worldline. It's a space where the universe throws out the "errors". Basically a trash bin. We know from both Steins;Gate and Steins;Gate 0 that a person and his/her consciousness are defined by his/her memories. The time leap machine while theoretically just sends memories into the past, it actually sends someone's consciousness into the past. Amadeus is the perfect copy of the human brain. Okabe's digitized memories are acting as they have conscious while they are just stored on a hard drive between 2011 and 2036. And a bit of Chaos;Head stuff: "humans are acting like electrical devices".
A person and his/her consciousness are defined by his/her memories. Okabe has no memory connecting him to the Steins Gate world line. Suzuha has no memory connecting her to the Steins Gate world line. They have no memories = they don't have conscious = they are errors. The errors have to be erased, so the world just nukes them into the "R worldline" (which is the "Load Region of Deja Vu" - hence the title of the movie. Deja Vu are memories regarding these erased stuff... previous worldlines, people who were erased, etc...).
And here comes the speculated A;C context: Steins;Gate, and the other SciADV VNs are taking place in a simulated world. Which is btw strongly foreshadowed since the beginning of this franchise. Just staying with Steins;Gate, please rewatch the Alpacaman scene from Episode 1, it happens exactly after the opening ;) Also take a look at the lyrics of World Line, the 2nd ending theme of Steins;Gate 0 anime ;)
And if Steins;Gate is truly takes place in a simulated world, it's not really far fetched that the universe has some kind of automatic erase machanism to remove the errors :)

I have a question it may come as funny to you but seriously I have no clue. What is Sci adv vn.Is it really connected and is part of the official story or does it explains the sotry or something?

Steins;Gate is Part 2 of the Science Adventure series, a series of visual novels. It's not a standalone story.
