For an author's early work this is surprisingly well written.
It has a nice balance of sports stuff and some intriguing family drama, both entwined by the world of tennis. The art is great too.
This first chapter mostly follows two characters - a young boy Tsurugi and his mother.
And while awkward at times, their relationship seems pretty interesting and I wonder where the story would lead them.
