Cannot belive it ended like that.
Another Slam Dunk or Haikyuu again.
Another heartbreak after a long decade.

This is the GOAT football manga, people just could not deal with too many chapters of a build up.
It suffered from lack of anime adaption and official English translation.
But if Days got an adaption, then this one deserves one, it's a disgrace.

AO Aishi is actually alright, author is student of the game.

Blue Lock is just heroes turned football players and has bad pacing.
Just like Cpt. Tsubasa just with better drawings and toned down to make it beliveble.

Ao Ni Nare was actually about football and it romanticized it.
It become my GOAT, hopefully we get an adaption of it and a proper ending some day.

So THAT'S why it's called Be Blues.

Wishful thinking but I really wanted them to do another year or two of their lives. Ichijou in Germany, Yuuto practicing to become a Japanese team pro player, Yuuki studying to become a physical therapist, etc. I also wouldn't have minded if they touched on slight romance aspects too, because I knew Nanami had a crush on Yuuto but I'm unsure if he even reciprocated. Also, Yuuki and Etou had crushes on Ichijou too, so I wondered if after graduation, one or both would've confessed. I do know there was chapter where one of the verteran managers said not to catch feelings/date the players, I think. Regardless, it was a nice manga depicted Ichijou's growth but I feel it ended too early. Would love to see an anime adaptation someday.

maybe we'll have a sequel with yuuto as the main character for his last year of highschool and after

What a fantastic journey, of course there're some ups and downs, but personally, I love it. Nothing new, but told in the right way. This is the best manga about football for sure.

I think that is a good finish for this series, they could have ended it more calmly (and say something more about Ichijou), taking a few more chapters for the ending, but in the complex I'm really satisfied.

ah... it's finally over. A great series, but the ending felt like there was so many loose endings to be tied up still, and no where near enough closure. It really is a shame.

We don't know what kind of people we truly are until the moment before our deaths.
