| I am starting to have deja vu again from these Demon Slayer-like anime like Fire Force rn. Edit I: This anime is getting in my nerves so, Ima skip some boring and useless scenes/parts.. Edit II: How could they be happy after they didn't even defeat the antagonist? (For some scenes). Edit III: The first 11 episodes of Fire Force 1st Season was good. The rest is burning in hëll. Edit IV: Ima watch Comedy anime now so I can pretend I didn't watch Fire Force at all. |

| People here are counting flaws for Fire Force but except for the fan service all of their flaws can also be found in Demon Slayer, like sloppy writing or whatever tf. Nothing is perfect and imo Mugen Train had some of the worst moments of the series, even the final fight (at least in the anime) felt just... bad. The looping soundtrack had me fumin'... Until the death scene it all felt rather empty. Same goes for the final fight in the Entertainment District, despite having nicer moments before the final fight, unlike Mugen Train... The fight was heavily stretched and was just flashing lights and colours on the screen for like a couple episodes. The actual things that happen in-between are impactful but the fights don't feel too tense. It's crazy how the epic trio killing the sister had me more invested than the actual final fight between a pillar and a high class demon. A climax should just happen and not try to stretch the climactic event, or else it just feels hollow. Which it did. So I'll gladly rewatch Fire Force any time of the year than to relive my frustrations with the last two arcs of Demon Slayer. I hope that both FF and DS will improve in that regard but at least for DS I highly doubt that. |
