He is only 10 years old physically but wasn't he like a 30 - 40 year old man from his past life plus the fact that typically in fantasy settings like this and that he's nobility, it wouldn't be too far off from happening. I just think it would be cute if he ended up with the maid girl.

Sure, but only after a time skip, when they are both 20+ or something.

No chance this dude is interested in a 10 year old lol

Honestly I hope there isn't. I would love a show that's this wholesome and interesting without some unnecessary romance thrown in tbh
Would make it feel more generic

I doubt we will be having any time-skip like that just to make him older to get a romantic partner lmao
The story focuses on something other than romance.
It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

You know who's a westerner in this kind of discussion, when they're worried about fictional characters' age.

Probably not. The MC doesn't have time to deal with romantic emotions. We can see from his last life that he didn't care one bit about romance, and focuses on medicine

Actually it's more of an American thing most Europeans aren't really concerned with age.

As for Falma's love life seeing he is a noble i wouldn't be surprised if he is introduced to a fiance at some point especially seeing his position and the time period he is living in.

Trust me, the Brazilian anime community is even worse when it comes to this aspect.

I'm suspecting to make it more spicy... farma should be a chad having two girl at least...
or else a family man as his father... with ellen he get a smart girl with divine arts... as a pick but a more realistic choice would be charlotte, same age and more naive personality for wife material is kind easier xD... my 2 cents

You don't need to be a "westerner" or a rocket scientist grasp the concept that; media is both a reflection and a propagator of social culture.
Artistic creations don't happen/exist in a vacuum.

Very funny.

So if you watch an action film and see people shooting each other with guns, you cry about how wrong it is for a fictional work to reflect murders in real-life? No, you don't.

That's what I'm talking about. Westerners seem to be able to tell the differences between fictions and reality just fine for most types of content, except for one thing: having relationship or sexualizations of minor characters. Once this happens on any form of media, they throw all the logics out the window and now it's "real" to them.

Confirmation bias (tendency to process information by looking for, or interpreting, information that is consistent with one’s existing beliefs).

What about depictions and representations of women? or religious minorities? or racial minorities? or homosexuals? or Trans? or slavery? or colonialism/imperialism and so on?

The actual reality is that: the opposite is true; hyper violence is pretty much the only thing that gets 'a pass', and even then -its a mostly an American thing...the vast majority of other "westerners" hardly admire it.
You have just fixated on the loli-fetish for some reason.

Then why even produce or watch movies? They're all filled with bad stuff.

If you can't show anything that is wrong in real-life, then you can only produce films about people running around a lavender field.

In order to tell a story, you need both the right things and wrong things in it.

The sensitive people act like children, when they see something they don't like on TV, they start crying. What you see on TV is fiction, it's not real. Get over it.

That wasn't your original argument.
Unless I misunderstood you to an impossible degree; you were suggesting/slandering "westerners" as hypocrites who are uniquely critical of 'sexualized lolis' and 'age inappropriate' relationships -which as I pointed out; is not true at all.

Also I think few people will say that the depictions of 'bad stuff' is bad, in fact it is typically considered a good thing (see lists of award winning films/tv for examples) -the/my problem is when that 'bad stuff' is whitewashed and presented as a good/neutral thing.
An recent-ish example is the slavery in anime; it's seems to becoming less about how awful it is and more about fulfilling the creepy/pathetic fantasy of having a women involuntary chained to you and her falling in love you in the end.

So what if there are anime that have sex slaves? It's fictional.

Who supposed to have that authority to judge what you can and can't portray in TV shows? Most of the time you don't see Japanese pressuring the Hollywood to remove this or ban that. But why it's the west trying to oppress the Japanese to remove things from their shows? And you're saying the west isn't in the wrong.

Oh this offended me, that disturbed me, that disgusted me, please ban them. Well, how about turning off your TV? The problem of these people isn't that they don't want to see things they don't like, it's that they want everyone to not be able to see things they don't like, because they think that they're smarter, superior, and know better than anyone about how to be a good human being.

LMAO you think a bunch of western weebs on MAL forums are oppressing the country/people of Japan?....are you high or something?
The anime industry have only recently acknowledged that non-Japanese viewers even matter

"So what if there are anime that have sex slaves? It's fictional."
No, it's not.
Sorry bust up your sunshine and rainbows understanding of the real world, but sex slavery is a real thing that is still happening to tons of people all around the world and some of the girls who Japan used as sex slaves are still alive.

Just as you are free to say that you like and support these messed up fetish fantasy/wish fulfillment, why should I or "westerners" not be free to say we don't like or support it?...why are you trying to "oppress" and silence "westerners"?
If the criticism of something you like is "offending" and "disturbing" you -why do you keep reading the forum (a western created one at that)? why not "turn off the tv"?

And BTW this sort of stuff also disgusts most Japanese people; you are painting all of Japan with the fetishes of a small niche part, of the otaku subculture....It's like watching tons of H and believing that all Japanese women secretly want a 'fat bastard' to force himself on her....
