The official website for the Love Live! Nijigasaki Gakuen School Idol Doukoukai (Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club) television anime announced an original video anime on Thursday, revealing a teaser visual (pictured). The anime is set for a theatrical release in Summer 2023. Sunrise produced the first 13-episode anime season in Fall 2020, with the second anime season in Spring 2022. A television anime titled Nijiyon Animation was announced for a January 2023 premiere. Love Live! Nijigasaki Gakuen School Idol Doukoukai follows a set of idols from the Love Live! School Idol Festival ALL STARS rhythm game and is the third anime installment in the Love Live! franchise. The fourth installment, Love Live! Superstar!!, aired in Summer 2021, followed by its second season this Summer.
