If I'm not mistaken, the whole premise of ASMR anime adaptations began last year with "180-byou de Kimi no Mimi wo Shiawase ni Dekiru ka?" and now we're getting a second one this year. Not only that, it combines the aspect of isekai into this, which somehow makes it more weird yet appealing and enticing to see where this goes AND Tomokazu Sugita voices the main character. Between these two, this is most likely going to be a whole 12-episode saga of 3 minutes each, but I don't know if this is either awakening something in me or this is going to be a slow but ever-increasing trend from now on rather than just a niche.

It's already kinda been one if go on YouTube with all the VTubers who do ASMR. I think it's kinda nice that anime is doing subjects like this.

I'm not a fan of ASMR. but if there's an anime that makes me feel relaxed and zen I'm all for it. I'll try anime ASMR before I'll give vtubers and those twitch weirdos a view.

I don't necessarily think it will. You know how they say anime's just an advertisement for the source, well think of this and 180-byou as that, it's literally an advertisement, but instead of the source material coming first RaRo will be releasing ASMRs based on this series as it airs. So this anime is literally just a tip of the iceberg, the rest is on DLsite. Just to add, to put into perspective the 180-byou complete ASMR pack (which lasts around 34 hours) costs around 8,800 yen. There's around 3000 purchases of that, if you disregard it being bought on sale, that's a lot of money, so the 3 minute advertis- I mean anime does work for them.

For now it's only RaRo doing it (both this and 180-byou is from RaRo), so I don't think it will be a big trend. but who knows other ASMR circles might follow suit (CANDY VOICE pls make a NECOGURASHI anime).
