The original creator, Noriyasu Agematsu of Elements Garden, said after the successful Visual Prison VA concert end that he want to make season 2. This is a private statement and not an official announcement. Though considering that his other creations like Symphogear and UtaPri get uncountable sequel and movies, I think it's just around the corner.

But definitely NOT in this year because he already has another anime Technoroid.

Not going to lie, I'd love a season 2 with a greater variety of songs. The music from season 1 was so good. But there could be improvement to the storytelling... I'm picking up on things in the manga that were not evident at all in the anime.
