Is the Manga enough to understand the story ?

So I've watched the first and the second season. I heard that the third one is not adapted very well, and a lot informations is missing in this season, so I just started reading the LN and the manga. I was wondering if reading the manga only was enough to understand the story, because I'm planning to buy the whole collection, and since the LN are expensive, I would like to read the manga first instead (I have the ebook version of the LN but I don't like to read on my phone/computer).

Can you guys help me ? Thanks a lot !

I think it can definitely help you understand the story. Yes the LN would be even better since it's the original work but, the manga honestly felt better than watching all 3 seasons. Now, the manga hasn't adapted everything that the 3rd season has but, I think it's going to do a better job at what was covered. I read the whole manga even though the first two seasons are basically the exact same as what is in the manga. (Probably didn't explain well but hope this helps even a little bit).

Thanks a lot for your reply, yes it's clear I understand, I'll continue to read the manga before the LN. I've a new question now, does anyone know how many episodes of the third season is covered in the manga at the moment ? Thanks!

Manga: not up to date with light novel and easier to understand but it also skipped a few volumes
LN: has everything
I say get the ln it’s better

from what I remember maybe 12 episodes. it's at least about 8-10 and at most 10-15 but it's probably been a good year almost since I watched s3.

yes it would but it skips two arc in season one (Deep Blood and the Angel Fall arc) plus it's behind the anime other than that good read
