| Right now I’m s2 ep 7 so maybe things might change So towards the end of season 1 Mami was declared to be one of the most hated female chars. Well I read some toxic comments about her. For me I didn’t like her but also didn’t really hated her cause she seemed kinda reasonable to me. My ranking was like Ruka Chizuru Sumi Mami Kazuya So can somebody explain why she’s my fav character in this anime now Kazuya still dumb af, sumi still afk, chizuru and the sign that she starts liking Kazuya is just meh and Ruka is just ruka being destroyed by kazuya Mami and her toxic vibe I kinda like it now idk Am i the only one? |

| Mami is overhated. Keep in mind, that she literally endured whole month as Kazuya's girlfriend. Just imagine what kind of unearthly horrors she had to endure. The series literally starts with the most logical think anyone would do in her situation, which is her breaking up with Kazuya. Anyone who praises Ruka should be arrested. She is annoying and her backstory is completely idiotic. She likes Kazuya (which is insane by itself) just because he makes her "kokoro" go "doki doki" for some reason. |

The author does not really bother much to pretend he even sees the other girls as characters, he just uses them as plot devices and then shoves them aside for Chizuru when they are done fulfilling their role. Mami does get a flashback chapter for her to explain why she does the things she does, but then she kind of never came back into the story up to the recent chapters. Sumi is nowhere to be found too. And Ruka is just kind of a cameo that slightly appears once in a while, or is just mentioned in scenes she does not even appear in as plot conveniences to hinder Chizuru's development. Author only cares about Chizuru and it shows. |

Like- many ppl defend her and say stuff like "she truly loves Kazuya" or "she's such a caring and passionate girl" and the likes but they seem to ignore the fact that no one asked her to be, especially not Kazuya. She has literally been blackmailing him to "date" her when she knows he loves someone else, all while acting out of the world clingy and meddling... sigh idek why I'm rambling on but yeah ruka certainly has the worst character personality in the series, followed by mami. Don’t want to defend ruka that much bc she has one of the worst personalities but she is definitely not the worst char |

| There was a point in the manga around the paradise arc(I called it paradise from hell) where some readers turned on Chizuru with the peak being at 218 along with several chapters of her doing nothing to stop Mami from doing her scheme. Then there were the events after that arc with the whole 3 months thing. |
