Thsts fair enough. I was still enjoying the manga when I was reading it at this point, and season 3 will be the best season yet as it actually has decent plot and actually made me cry at one point, but it all goes down hill from there. I still get the occasional laugh from this every now and then though.

Everything is subjective, but this show is like communism.
It's fun at start, but quickly becomes painful and now it is just suffering to experience it.

Main problem is wasted potential.

If I remember correctly it is 104-152, so about 49 chapters. Of course it isn’t all about the movie, there is non movie related content in there, but for those chapters that is the main focus and is by far the best stretch of chapters in rent a girlfriend.

Rent-A-Peak!! Honestly I agree it is truly enjoyable and me personally I feel like I can deal with the slow build up and character development because kazuya has honestly come a long way and even acting more just shy than totally cringe! Chizuru honestly you can’t blame her for following her dreams and looked like she barely made time for her real self. Mami well everyone knows she’s crazy! As for Ruka dang she wild as well taking any chance she can get with kazuya and well good for her I guess testing kazuya’s emotions. Last but not least sumi.. she’s perfect and a great friend to kazuya. I can agree with the love is war statement though not that they relate at all but the attention I’m putting into this anime is just as attentive

I’m with you bro.

I know this show is more controversial than American politics, but for me, it’s one of the most enjoyable and hilarious shows I’ve ever watched. And not in an “it’s so bad it’s good” way, either.

Like, I get genuine laughs from watching the events of this show unfold.

I find the character interactions to be genuinely entertaining.

And as a fan of spiciness, this is genuinely the best “spicy” show that I’ve ever watched.

Overall, I just have genuine fun with it. And that’s all that really matters to me.

Although I will always be grateful to the hate watchers, for helping to get us a 3rd season. Their contribution is greatly appreciated.

i do not understand how there was potential in the first place? but i am judging the story based on character interaction, and how much it can keep me glued to the screen, no other season of rom-com anime has done that, and it is obvious why?

the characters,

kaguya, him being himself made him a unique character
Ruka, Honestly she is better than the main character's love interest
Chizuru is perfect, but has back story flaws
sumi is partly meh AT THE MOMENT

the grandmothers are on a whole other level of craziness

ill tell you a real story , you know the Ruka scene with Kazuya

that scene happened to me personally i got a kiss from a girl when i was in 7th or 8th do not remember the year, that is exactly how she acted, she said she had a love at first site for me, It was honestly a nice feeling, but i did what kazuya would do tell her nicely that we can be friends but not lovers, She agreed but was really sad, i felt bad and disgusted , mind was messed up, the worst part is she was really beautiful and kind of my type as well, but at that age now that i think of it , i made the right decision ,becoz she apparently went abroad , and if i had become her lover then i would have also gone to california with her, she had rich parents , I never wanted to go abroad , so my decision was right

it was a long story, we are still friends either way and she still messages me even now, i do not have feelings for her, but i know deep down she loved me, thankfully she is very understanding and understands tha both parties may not like each other, love is always a two way communication

and Rent-a-girlfriend shows those emotional complexities perfectly given the situation

my man you are absolutely right, the only reason kaguya sama is so popular is becoz of it's cringe comedy , it does not desrve the high ratings it is getting, It is kind of similar to Mr.Bean but the anime school life version

honestly Mr.Bean is god as a gag show not a complete 10/10 show

While I agree that enjoyment is important I still think that there's a big difference between an enjoyable anime that's good and one that's trash.

So even if I have a lot of fun watching this anime I still can't say I genuinely like it. Though that also means I can't say I genuinely hate it either.

I vote for this series as Dropped on MAL. you know what.. because I just see this as others called Bang Dreams, idol show something like that. This S2 is very obvious bout this. The story are based on reality but isn't it too vanilla??? Yes I'm done watching all eps of without skipping. But it give me more hate + concern onwards the storyline. I'm not built for this.. very, very frustrating!!

as long as it is an anime. i enjoyed on my own.
