There is no anime adaptation and no news of one. Feel free to read it because, unless it gets a adaptation on the same level as Demon Slayer, Komi-san, or Jobless Isekia, there is no way an anime can perfectly replicate the level of detail this manga has (it’s what I like to call “the Berserker adaptation problem”)

While this series definitely deserves an anime adaptation I doubt it would ever happen since there are so many worldbuilding details and long dialogues and monologues it would be hard to transfer it all to anime without taking a lot of liberties, nevertheless it would be nice to see how they would handle it. I think the adaptation would be like a crossover between Magi and Ascendance of a Bookworm with a touch of Harry Potter.

It sure would be nice if Theo got his anime adaptation at some point in the future.
But like the poster above said, animating this series could be difficult unless the staff took some liberties with the script and omitted a few things here and there.
Still, I feel that a TV animation of 12 or 13 episodes covering the first three volumes would be spectacular.

12-13 episodes would be really few to cover three volumes unless they cut a lot of stuff and rush it.

I guess you're right, it would really pushing it.
On the other hand extending it to double that number of episodes would be overkill for an anime adaptation, and that's because the series would inevitably move to past the third volume and go into a new story arc that can't really provide a satisfying finale to the watchers.
I imagine only a season with a fairly odd number of episodes (15 to 17?) would end up well composed.
