I believe that even though this light novel has got its fair share of hate and criticism, rightfully so, it still has something to offer, such as at least a background story of one of the strongest apostles of Griffith that is Grunbeld. The art pages drawn by Miura are a saving grace and I am happy that they were included. I read this book in 2 days and I don't regret reading it, although I do believe it is very sloppy and uses the sexual tropes too many times, to the point where it genuinely put me off it was not like Berserk where at least it was done in a meaningful way. All in all, it's a 5/10 novel with 9.5/10 illustrations

Poorly written, (possibly due to a bad translation) feels like it was written by a child who just learnt that gore can make something more extreme. And I mean that, any and all mature themes used are not used to discuss how people can recover from their trauma, save for a few sentences of exposition, but instead used for the sake of making it mature. It's just gross, where as berserk was tragic. Seriously wtf is wrong with the author??
