The Ghost in the Shell
| Did Blade Runner influence this film at all? I know this movie served as inspiration for the Matrix movies but I was wondering. I saw the Final Cut of Blade Runner before this however, and GitS heavily reminded me of it; for example the discussion about memories were similar in both. The term replicant was even used in the sub translation as I was watching this, for me at least. Does anyone know if there is a clear connection? |

| I think Mamoru Oshii has stated that Ridley Scott is one of his favorite filmakers and Blade Runner had a huge impact in Japanese pop culture of the 80s and 90s so it's safe to assume that it did. |

| Blade runner and GitS have so many similarities to say that it didn't. I love both movies and seeing something similar was great experience. |
