At this point we’re using the word overrated for every anime. It doesn’t matter if that anime is my dress up darling or demon slayer or attack on Titan. Calling something overrated is dumb af. The large majority likes this anime and that’s poggers. Now if you don’t like it it’s also poggers ,but calling it overrated is like saying that you know better than the “unenlightened masses”, therefore they should stop enjoying it because based on your judgment it’s shit. (Keep in mind that I’m not attacking op for not liking this show. All I’m saying is that “overrated” hardly feels like actual criticism about the show itself but more like a childish attempt to annoy a fandom. You either create an real criticism or shut up and accept the fact that a show is more popular and mainstream than your favourite anime)

I don’t agree, I may have been too caught up on how much I loved it, it’s wholesomeness and how happy it made me but I didn’t notice any fan service in my eyes to call it “waifu bait” like yes I know I know but I ignored that. The characters were well written, their growth was there, and the plot was good ƪ(˘⌣˘)ʃ

I disagree. It’s a fun show and Marin is the goat. The relationship between Marin and Gojo is so cute and it has the perfect blend of wholesome and ecchi scenes. It’s a good show imo.

They are not “well written”. The characters get minimal development like “shy girl stops being shy” “girl starts liking guy” “guy gains an interest in cosplay”. That’s the minimum that a show could do. And “wholesome” isn’t an objective quality. It’s a really mediocre show.

i agree because marin never got any sort of development. she was popular and perfect from the get go. plus all she did was show her boobs and butt. Really gojo got development and tried to break out of his shell and do what he likes and he's nowhere as popular. I liked the show besides the horny, but Marin really wasn't well written at all imho

Ok so, its DEFINITELY NOT overrated. Waifu aside, Marin is a good character because of a lottt of reasons. nd so is Gojo nd Juju. There's good plot, good animation, cute characters, positive vibes... sore dake da ^^

That’s the point of characters like these, it’s fictional for a reason. It’s ok to fantasize and be a fan, it’s just that some people (the vocal minority) take it too far to the point of it being cringe. Even then, people with personalities like Kitagawa Marin exist in real life, you probably just haven’t met any.
