Ashuna was not the MVP for this chapter :( She does at least redeem herself by committing the act that would conclude the battle that made up the entirety of this chapter though :) (I still think she's awesome)

What a battle it was; yet another facing off with a Pure Concept once Sahara caved in and gave up her own humanity to the Pure Concept of Vessel. I'll be honest, when the conjured soldier was on the brink of killing Menou, I was convinced that the battle would end in her death, mission failed and Akari pressing the metaphoric start button, to retry the adventure from the beginning, again xD

Alas, no, heh

If I've understood it correctly, because Menou was partially blanched years ago, although her spirit and soul have relatively weak defences, because they are already white/ ivory (which scientifically speaking contains all wavelengths of visible light, which can then be broken down into the primary colours of RGB), it is impossible for them to be affected by a pure concept that only has command of the constituent colours, thus explaining the Vessel's fear upon examining up-close what Menou's soul and spirit are comprised of.

Of course, I could have completely misunderstood how this world works and be talking complete nonsense, heh At least the world that Sato has come up with and the complexity of its mechanics are definitely enough to make them nothing short of very interesting and engaging, even if they do require a bit of brain exercise to keep up with :)

This is the last chapter for volume three (excluding the epilogue, which is not a numbered chapter), so I guess it's onward the Volume 4...
