Should i start manga after this season or after watching to the top?

I heard that to the top is a little more inconsistent compared to the manga so should i switch to the manga now or after watching to the top?

to the top's adaption was pretty much the same as the previous seasons. they rushed a couple of eps but thts only cuz if they didnt, the season would've left off mid-way thru the inarizaki match. other than tht the only thing inconsistent was the animation for season 4 especially part 2 because of the COVID situation.

It's not that inconsistent, idk where you heard that but I'll say watch the anime first and then you can go for the manga.

Well, i didn't read the manga, but to the top, even with its more visible differences of the animation quality between important scenes and the rest of the anime(what i mean is that the important moments have a really good animation, but because of the budget the rest of the anime has animations that are funny because of how bad they are), is worth watching

Watch To the Top then read the manga. S4 actually changes the art style to seem more like the manga’s anyways so it’ll get you used to the designs. Plus the anime is amazing, I know some people complained about To the Top for doing things a little different but those people still think the season was great

I suggest you start reading from after season 3. It's not that to the top was inconsistent to the point that it's bad to start reading after it. I just think it's better to start from after season 3 instead.

i watched haikyuu to the top and then bought the entire manga and reread that arc in the manga and i’d say go with the anime first because the voice acting and osts are still really good and there are some crazy moments that are animated super well. and then read the manga if you’d like. honestly the only really bad eps in s4 are 15 and 19 (and it’s because they were outsourced) but i found that when i first watched those eps i didn’t notice it as much bc i didn’t know what was going to happen. but that arc in the manga is fantastic so honestly whether you watch or read first either will be good

and also one thing to note is that in s4 the animation style changes because the manga art style changed. so that’s also why things may look off putting as well. but it will be the same for both manga and anime though it’s definitely more noticeable in the anime imo
