 You're goddamn right it was, hate these little bitch MCs in sports anime. That whole match was laughable. Won't even mention the pacing lol. This anime started off really good with the insight into the laborious training that they do and the Highschool team comradery and competitiveness, but now it's become a joke. |
| That was a pretty rough game at first. Mizushima understandably just couldn’t focus, especially with that strategy (though it was sound) and with his friend being hurt like that. I kind of figured that would happen when he saw his buddy’s knee like that in the last ep. But I’m glad he managed to focus up eventually and win that match. All those fellas played very well. It might not have been the match they wanted, but they played their hearts out and gave it their all. Looking forward to seeing what happens next. |
| The entire match went as I expected. Not necessarily a bad thing but it was very boring and the directing and janky animation certainly didn't help. The coach of the opposing school shouldn't have let someone with an obvious injury participate either. It would just make things worse. |

| For your coach to target the enemy that's already injured to a friend of yours, that's scummy. Mizushima's friends Hiroto and Shizuo of Enayama High playing in the newbie tournament, but why the hell would you bring injured players into the game, much less allow them to play in the first place. This indites an internal nightmare within Mizushima whom falters, which passes the effect onto Sakaki, leading them to lose their game. He needs to focus on winning the matches right now if he wants to face Shizuo right as promised, this is a match that friends have looked forward to. Mizushima's change in strategy for the 2nd game, and that proves right for them. Despite injuries and losses, this overblown drama which involves friendship on the line, it's their moment of hurrah to play to their very best that ended in Mizushima and Sakaki's win. More timeskips and matches for Yokohama Minato to clinch the win on the newbie tournament, that's to be expected. Honestly, if this show ended here, I would at least be happy about it to end on an amicable note. Such a forgettable series that's entering its 2nd Cour next. @GakutoDeathGlare this show has been a joke from the start, this is an early 2010s novel that someone must be mad to make an anime out of this more than a decade later. |

| Shit. Ebihara sensei really use such a tough strategy from the start to the middle-end. Good to see Ryo finally use his brain more and comes up with better strategy without putting his friend more on strain. That closing really put up some weird cut though. What's up with the cat lol. Still, looking forward for the next cour. However boring and shallow its ended up there... |

| Pretty dumb of them for begging the coach to let Shizuo continue. The guy could've been permanently injured risking not to ever play badminton again. However, congrats to Sakaki and Ryo for winning their team event. |

| wow, one of the most hyped matches in this anime and this is what we get? i liked the other guys trying hard, but as we can see (or not, since we can't see that much), almost all the points they got were because of mizushima being drunk lol how did he even play when he could barely walk during the breaks? |
